Most of them cannot be eaten at normal size- Inkling is really an exception because hes rather small and very malleable so its less likely he would be hurt or hurt barnacles in the process, and none of the others are big enough to eat him either.

polar bears can stomach about 20% (1/5th) of their body weight iirc? but of course thats not from swallowing one item whole, so it goes down a bit in that regard. The vegimals are also small and squishy enough for him to eat at normal size, and some of the others like kwazii and shellington have too

peso is just a bit too big but if he were a tad bit smaller I think he could.. not be eaten exactly but if he were already in there he could fit. Inkling is right on the cusp of being too big to handle.

Almost certainly; Barnacles is especially a victim of this- I mean have you seen some of the messes the crew get in to? The movies? Hell even the Amazon Adventure episode they all get separated and Kwazii even gets knocked out…

I would bet that the captain has woken up from an especially vivid dream and just.. desperately needs that confirmation that his family is safe. It might be a little startling for whoever gets swallowed but I think they would very quickly key in to how hes feeling and how fast his heart is beating and pivot to reassurance. Being cramped and slimy is little inconvenience when it comes to helping their leader-dad-bear feel better
