And if you have trouble remembering which hand is which-- the minute hand has to be longer to make it easier to determine the actual minute, while the hour hand can be less exact.

Something that helps me remeber which hand is which is the lenght of the words Minute=Longer word=longer hand Hour=shorter word=shorter hand this woulds in english and french,but may not work with other languadges
