Figured it’s about time to make a therian/otherkin blog for myself. I’ve been much more active in the furry community, but there’s a lot of overlap when it comes to my love of werewolves.
Shapeshifting and transformation are what opened the door for either therianthropy or furry art to become an interest in the first place. My “awakening” if we still call it that happened sometime back in 2003. I was a wolf therian who thought werewolves were neat, and a convenient analog for what represented me and my interests in wolves and becoming one.
Now I’m not so sure, having moved away from therianthropy and simply embracing my interest in viewing art and stories as an indulgence rather than a concept of identity. It’s foundational enough to who I am that it merits further introspection. More than that, I’m not sure I’m just a wolf but perhaps werewolfkin, the separation between man and wolf possibly being a division I created out of convenience. I no longer see man and beast as opposites.
So welcome to my personal ride through confusing manimal spirituality!
