Squid Game | My Reaction
What Would You Put at Stake to Be Financially Free?
Squid Game is a popular Netflix South Korean streaming television series with a genre of survival drama that was written by Hwang Dong-yuk. It showcases the story of financially burdened people who put their lives at stake in a peculiar game with a 45.6 billion won reward. While many appreciate the drama that the series has brought to the audience, I can say that the Squid Game series is violently horrible. It is a terrible fact that people are willing to play unusual child games that put their lives in danger in exchange for a large sum of money. Desperate people who are in dire need of money agree to play and win the game in exchange for a very large sum of money. Without being properly oriented about the nature of the game they joined, players suffered extreme atrocities when they lost or failed in the game. To the point that they had to kill each other just to stay alive and continue playing. Those people who are behind the game treat the players inhumanely and make fun of them for entertainment. The cruelty to the players is what makes the series intriguing and controversial to watch. Overall, I can say that the Squid Game series is brutal to watch. There might be intense drama in it that others may relate to, but it is inhumane to watch the violent scenes. This series exhibits miserable people who are willing to risk their lives out of desperation for the value of money as a reward.
