EDDIE  HAD  THOUGHT   MOVING   TO     a whole new city and keeping a low profile was all it would take for him to slip under the radar. he had all the time in the world now to make amends with the symbiote he shared a body with, and he REALLY had some shit to sort out with it. maybe they could sit down and talk about it over coffee. while the power that came with the parasite wasnât completely awful, that kind of strength attracted all the wrong sorts of attention when left unchecked. he laid low, had some connections forge him a new identification card, but even a temporary state of security was just thatââ-temporary. he was PARANOID, and it didnât take long for his nervous ticks to rub a concerned mother the wrong way and have her call the police.
at the first sound of dogs, eddie bolted. black alien matter stretched over his limbs and vaulted him easily over obstacles, but it wasnât long until he came to a DEAD END in an unfamiliar alley. he had lost most of the cops, but there was still one officer in pursuit that had caught up to him somehow despite his symbiote acrobatics. he raised his hands in the air, back pressed to the brick wall behind him. he laughed, painfully anxious. â look, man, you donât have to do this, weâre notââiâm not harming anyone. â he negotiated, stopping the forced twitch of his digit. the symbiote grumbled inside of himââhungry, peeved.

when deviants had stopped being hunted   (   when the deviant hunter himself had deviated.   )   connor had remained with the detroit police.   he wanted to help, to make sure androids received the same treatment as human convicts.   &   of course, he wanted to keep the city save.   an android was effective   &   nobody could deny that.
