'cause someone really cares about you

You try to pull the blanket off of yourself, and you realize that, it too, is made of chocolate. You try to shake it off, and step out of bed. Your carpet feels strangely spongy. You look down, only to realize it’s actually cake. Lovingly baked, and smelling of sweet fruit. You grab a piece, and cautiously take a bite. It is one of the most delicious cakes you have ever eaten.

You get up, confused, and exit your room to see if the rest of your house is like this. The door handle melts in your hand as you hold onto it, and covers it with dark chocolate carefully painted gold. The rest of the carpet on the floor is still cake, the guardrails on the stairs leading down are tempered chocolate, the tiles on the floor are the same, the windows are sugar glass, everything is edible.

You run outside, knocking over the lovingly crafted chocolate front door in a panic.

You realize, in horror, that your house was not an exception. The bushes, the grass, the asphalt on the road, the trees, birds, the world itself, is chocolate.

But the task force need him. Maybe it's a like a thing of some of the higher ups/people sponsoring the whole thing want Ford on the project, otherwise they won't give the go ahead/won't fully fund them (or something, I'm not sure). They'll wait years if they need to to have Ford.

However, other people aren't so patient (Stratt or whoever Stratt would be in this AU) and need Ford now so the project can get the funding it needs. Earth may not have that long. But Ford said no.

So they do their research and come across Ford's identical brother. If they can't get Ford... what about someone who looks exactly like him? The higher ups won't be able to tell the difference! If all they need is Ford then, well, here he is!

Stan is skeptical at first (pretending to be his smart, perfect brother that he hasn't spoken to in over a decade leaves a bad taste in his mouth) but once they offer a hefty compensation for his time, he's all on board.

He assumes Ford's identity, they teach him everything he needs to know science-wise in case anyone asks him to do something smart and no one is around to cover for him (and he does learn it) and the project gets their funding.

Then things get out of hand, the scientist on board the Hail Mary dies and they don't have a replacement scientist who knows enough to entrust them with the whole mission.

But they do have Stanley who has been on the project from the very beginning. Every inch of progress they made, Stan was there for it. He knows everything.

EEEE yes I love love love clingy Sans

For one, I think he’d be super subtle about it when you’re friends or in the early stages of a relationship. He would kinda act like a cat that likes you, never really outwardly expressing it but somehow he’s always hanging out in the same room as you. As your relationship progresses it will very very slowly get more obvious. He’ll send you internet videos when he misses you. He will sit one (1) couch cushion closer to you. He will ask you when your days off work are and then strategically plan his own schedule around the time he can hang out with you.

The main reason he plays so nonchalant is that he’s worried if he expresses the true extent of his feelings for you too soon in the relationship then you’ll get freaked out or overwhelmed. He wants to maintain his chill, relaxed demeanor for as long as possible so you feel comfortable. Emotionally healthy? Nope!

Once he’s truly comfortable in a relationship (which will be YEARS down the line) he will be a little more clear about his clingy-ness. When you’re gone for more than a couple of hours he texts you like “i miss you :(( when will you return from war” or maybe sends you photos of your pet(s) saying “look how sad they are. abandoned. cast out. how could you.” and you just text back like “Sans it’s been two hours, I’m literally on my way back.”

When you’re hanging out together, he’s always touching you somehow. Early in the relationship it’s probably just leaning his shoulder on yours or pressing the side of his thigh to yours. Later on, he usually has an arm around your waist or shoulder, or his phalanges interlaced with your fingers. In private, he’s always cuddling you, no matter what you’re doing. Cooking? Boom, arms wrapped around your waist and head on your shoulder. Watching tv? Either he’s draped over you or you’re draped over him. In bed? Good luck getting away!! He’s deceptively strong, and if he’s asleep, he will be very grumbly if you try to get up.

Sans x Reader

Sans who, at first, didn’t seem really interested in anyone or anything. Sans who liked to joke and pun but never revealed too much about himself. Sans who would look away once you turned towards him, acting as if he hadn’t been staring. Sans who rejected you the first time you confessed, and although he’d done so as kindly as possible, it hadn’t seemed entirely too honest.

Sans who lied about not seeing you that way.

He needed time, you came to realise, and so, even though you initially felt heartbroken, you instead focused on being there for him as a friend. He knew of your feelings and treated them with respect, but it wasn’t until the third year of knowing him, that things began to change. It started small, actions you wouldn’t notice until weeks had passed, but he started to open up to you. He started to move closer; be closer to you, subtly touching you whenever he had the chance.

He revealed his fears. He’s afraid of making connections, afraid of becoming too close to someone; afraid to love and let himself be loved. You appreciated his honesty. You told him he didn’t have to commit. You were okay with just being close friends who could occasionally cuddle. At first glance he seemed alright with that, but then his expression changed and he shook his head and took your hands.

No. He doesn’t want that anymore, he never did. He’s loved you for a long time already and he was just too afraid to admit it to himself, but… he wants to be with you. He wants to be your lover. He wants to cuddle and hold hands and—and he wants to kiss you and to have you kiss him whenever you want to.

He’s a little overwhelmed with his own feelings, but you don’t judge him. Instead, you take him into your arms and hold him close. He nuzzles into you, releasing a sigh that must have held the weight of the world. You kiss his skull and you hear him silently gasp. You giggle and do it again and he hides his face in your shoulder. You can’t see the blush, but you feel it.

He’s happy you waited for him.

He’s happy you chose to still love him even though he needed time.

Sans is happy to have you in his life.

He’s happy.
