We’re 33 weeks now.
This whole pregnancy feels like a whirl… moving from one busy period to the next, not taking time to pause, reflect or journey to the place of birth. It feels like it’s gone too quick. After the sickness wore off, it’s like I’ve almost forgotten I’ve had a baby in my belly - and have only reminded by their sweet little kicks and punches every now and then. It feels so good to be close - close to holding them, smelling them, feeding them, cuddling. I’m excited. The days are long at the moment and I’m exhausted from all the running around. I’m hoping it slows enough for me to talk about how nice it is to be slow. Kurt needs to slow down. I’m craving the slow. I’m craving the cool nights and less social interactions, and less intensity and emotions from the girls because we haven’t stopped moving in what feels like forever. When was the last time we all took a family week off, and just baked in the kitchen, played in the garden and ate good food? Hoping this is it.. the slow phase. Kurt working from home, the girls homeschooling and spending time with their new sibling - because it’ll all go so fast, I know it.
Grateful for this time. I feel so blessed that I’m preparing better for what is about to come. It’s all about my mind and how I breathe. I want to do a breath work course. Maybe that’ll help.
Anyway, until next time (probably in a years time lol).
