And with that year 2 of this challenge is in the books.

Honestly I really enjoyed how I did the challenge this year. It gave me a chance to highlight and spotlight media I love and media I feel like doesn’t get a lot of love. This is definitely how I’ll be doing the challenge going forward.

Now just because pride month is over doesn’t mean we have to stop celebrating who we are. Especially now, we have to show that we exist and that our voices won’t be silenced no matter how hard people try.

Let’s hear some noise for Miss Sojourner Mullein!

Man I really wish DC kept using her more uniquely after Far Sector. Like why isn’t she just there full time? We don’t need 9 human green lanterns all on earth. We can have them patrolling other sectors, also maybe mention her self charging ring again, because she still has that.

Okay so first question, who else got absolutely jumpscared by Welcome to the Black Parade being featured in this show?

Second question, does this show officially have the best use of a MCR song in all of media?

Also yeah I know by 2025 people were pretty over seeing coming out narratives be the main plot point of queer media but hey as long as we’re going to celebrate queer stories that includes coming out narratives. It is something every queer person deals with eventually, so seeing it on screen will continue to happen.

Now what do you all know about my girls Korra and Asami? Because I was in the trenches with these two as Legend of Korra was airing live. No seriously check this blogs archive, the Korra posting was real. So just imagined how gagged little high school age gayby me was when these two got together at the end of the show. Like what, gay people? In my Avatar franchise? Amazing, show stopping, peak cinema even.

Yeah this was definitely a no brainer when it came to making my list for who to draw this year. I mean Heated Rivalry blew up last year, we all saw how quickly posts about it took over this site. Scott and Kip may have only got 1 episode in the show for their story but it was so beautifully done, also their reunion in episode 5, pure cinema. Heck I even read their book this year and I enjoyed it just as much.

Well June is upon us once again which means it is Pride Month!!! For those of you who don’t know for the last 2 years for Pride Month I’ve done a self imposed art challenge.

Inspired by the amazing @southpauz’s black history month art challenge. In 2024 I drew 30 queer male couples from media for all 30 days of pride month. Last year I opened it up to queer couples and solo characters of any kind from media, and that’s the version of the challenge I’m doing again this year.
