{Hello hello all! I have done something a little impulsive, but I hope this will be helpful in the long run, haha.}
{I literally just made it like less than an hour ago, but I now have a personal blog! I felt like it would be a good way for me to like, keep giving y'all life updates without having to spam my roleplay blogs every single time. And! It will mean that anyone that doesn't care about my IRL stuff can just not follow this blog or keep an eye on it and they'll be just peachy~ I hope to get it like, fixed up and stuff eventually, but I am not going to rush it. It's going to very very slow going.}
{Anyway, if you're interested in doing that, please go ahead and check it out at strawlamby~}
" adjustments...? tu what! what are yu trying tu adjust? isn't that yur jub is it it 'miss briar's? whu's she? i really like her name! "
that liked learning people's names, and everyone was just so nice!! especially in somewhere like unova. sure there were some bad eggs--and even they were okay!! she just probably got off on the wrong foot, she could always be someone's friend anyway--but on the whole this place was great!!
...and way less stressful than kalos. not that she didn't love home...but she hadn't been there in so long. she hoped it hadn't changed too much.
" uuhhh! sure! that sunds fun, and i'm hungry. " she looked at the pass, squinting at it, then turning her gaze back to the other.
" i'm silva! bagatella silva!! nice tu meet yu!! but in the names. what kinda ecunumy dues a schul have? i've never really went tu schul. "
"None so grand as our own, I assure you," Cyrano barked the reply proudly, almost puffing out his chest. "You will find that Blueberry Academy is, in a great many ways, quite advanced compared to the schools of other regions. As a matter of fact, I make it a personal goal to ensure it."
The director turned on his heel and led Silva to the elevator, making a minor adjustment to his hat despite the fact the thing hadn't even budged on his head the whole time. A habit perhaps, or just a tic of pride since he seemed to be absolutely swelling with it, like a balloon being filled up with just a little too much air.
"Here at Blueberry Academy, we recognize the importance of teaching our students independence and responsibility for themselves, so we have implemented our own currency system that works as a reward for the amount of hard work that a student puts in to their studies. Students complete Blueberry Quests and other achievements during their classes in order to receive a predetermined amount of Blueberry Points which they can then spend in the school store, contribute to clubs, and use in other ways to better their experience here. How much they work to earn these are up to the students themselves, but with all thins, busy bees are often put ahead of the game. Though that isn't to say success or failure hinges on ones dedication to BP. Far from it."
As they descended deeper into the school, the world seemed to change around them to fit the new environment, the entire look of the school seeking to compliment its futuristic nature and live in harmony with the aquatic scenes surrounding it. Depending on the student it could be either terrifying or breathtaking but either way it usually got an exaggerated reaction from anyone seeing it for the first time. Just another element of the academy that Cryano had a deep affinity for.
Emmet found himself a bit speechless, just staring at the other in mild confusion as he called him funny. Emmet considered clarifying that he wasn't joking, but refrained from doing so. If it was important he was sure it would come up again, And Cyrano could just explain what he meant then. Frankly, Emmet was just kind of glad someone thought he was making a joke- and a successful one at that! That was a pretty rare occurrence. He couldn't wait to tell Ingo and Elesa. Besides, a little misunderstanding between friends wasn't much to worry about- especially not when there were much more exciting things to discuss!
"It is!" He chirped, so enamored by their surroundings that he practically skipped as he walked. "In Galar, trainers can use power spots to dynamax their passengers. Mega evolution was first discovered in Kalos. Alola has special crystals that can power up pokemons' moves... I have always been sorrrrt of jealous of other regions!" Battle wise, Unova's biggest claim to fame was the invention of triple and rotation battles. It was fun to switch things up every once in a while with different kinds of battles, but before the terrarium, Unova just hadn't been able to meet the requirements of other regions' unique battle styles.
"Out of everything, I feel verrrry lucky to be able to see terastallization in person!" It was definitely his favourite of the bunch. Mega evolution was pretty cool too, and although it was more accessible than the others, neither Emmet or his brother had any pokemon that possessed that ability.
Although he knew the rapid switch in climate was coming up, Emmet couldn't help but let out a big gasp as they crossed the line into the coastal biome. It felt as if they'd suddenly teleported to the beach, but he could still see the biome they'd left right behind them. He adjusted he bag he carried with him, making sure he still had all of the supplies he'd packed for his first ever Paldean styled picnic.
"Ok. Yup! I have everything we should need." Unless... He glanced up towards the artificial sun, excited smile turning a bit anxious. "I am surprised at how realistic the sun feels... Do you think I'll be all right without sunscreen?" He hadn't thought to bring any and his pale skin made him burn super easily.
Cyrano waved his hand dismissively, "You shouldn't have to worry too much. The sky is merely a screen projection, and so is the sun. We do have ways of simulating the needs of our pokemon here, but as far as simply walking in the light goes, you won't receive any UV damage."
The headmaster banked off their current trajectory to find a place for the two of them to make a nice picnic. It was nice and flat, and the pokemon that were hanging around this area weren't so curious that they would be attempting any shenanigans. At least... Cyrano didn't think they would, if he remembered correctly... But in any case it was a beautiful view and it would make for a nice, calm scene for them to enjoy while they took part in their meal and their pokemon's company. And so he set to work right away getting everything ready for the picnic. He knew he should host since he was, well, the host, after all, and he was quite proud of his picnic decor setup, with his own Silver bottle, blue cup, and matching blue plaid tablecloth and seats. The spitting image of his lovely academy, if he did say so himself.
"Feel free to let your pokemon out and give them some space to roam," he continued, laying out that decor and gathering his materials. "I even have a cyber ball for them to play with, if they're feeling up to it. My own emboar is quite fond of it."

⥫ @skullkxd asked: ⥭
⥫ “Hey mister I know you like my weird cookies but would you wanna buy a weird cake.” ⥭
≼ ⌬ ≽
Cyrano blinks down at the cake for a solid five seconds before he breaks into a guffaw and slaps his leg. He can only assume that this was offered as a joke, given the nature of it, but he can't help but to appreciate the work that went into making something so ridiculous.
"You know, if I thought for a second that I would even be allowed to serve this in the first place, I might have told you yes. As things stand, however, I think the academy policy will most assuredly block me from giving this to my students."
It was definitely a good one, though. Provided he could remember it, this was definitely going in the books.
Ree can’t help but scoff a bit.
“Treasured business partner … as if. I’m just some nobody kid that’s good at fighting and syncing with my partners.”
He’s trying to hype them up. Ree knows this, but somehow, they can’t seem to acknowledge or accept it. Grownups always have a catch to these types of things.
Cautiousness is important.
“Anyway, if you really wanted me to attend this academy of yours, you’d have to talk to my dad first,” they add, shrugging their shoulders. “Especially to some hoity-toity expensive place on the other side of the world. This is my home. I wouldn’t have nobody in Unova.”
Cyrano could hardly consider an idea like that. For him ambition came before the four walls that surrounded him, and even his own culture took a back seat to the drive to succeed in the goals he had set before him. Friends could always be made, after all. But then again, he was speaking from the position of one who was now quite privileged and had had a full life behind him. Maybe the cultures set in his blood meant very little when they were now so deeply integrated into himself. And maybe this one was a little more like Clavell, who seemed to feel the need to slip into a skin more fitting for the world around him than to boldly be himself (granted, Cyrano really doubted that given their attitude up to this point). And really for some people, as silly as it seemed to him, maybe the idea of traveling into a new world and new experiences was just a little too much.
"Well, I could certainly do that, but given your reaction to the idea I don't think I will," Cyrano replied shifting his weight as he placed a hand on his hip. "I quite like my business, and it has never been the business of forcing people into situations they absolutely didn't ask for." This was a blatant lie. He had forced people into situations they didn't ask for all the time. Not that he could remember that at the moment. "Should you ever change your mind, you can contact me whenever and I'll be happy to accommodate you. Do you have a pokemon that can get messages over long distances? I know rotom phones aren't the norm everywhere, but I wouldn't want to leave you without a chance for you to get in touch."
Even now, he was being fairly pushy about it.
“Your academy…? No way. I wouldn’t be able to afford goin’ there even if I wanted to.”
which … they don’t. They’ve got a lot going on right here in Alola. and besides all that … they wouldn’t have any support in Unova from Skull Gang.
That’s the worst thing Ree can imagine.
“I’m good at battling, though,” they add, unable to help themself from boasting a bit. “I completed my trials in less than six months, and then I challenged our champion. I lost, but… I’m gunnin ’ for it this year too.”
"Can't afford it?" Cyrano sounded shocked. "Does my Academy really rely on student funding that much?"
He probably would have known that if he thought about it for even a moment. As much as Cyrano enjoyed picking up talented battlers to bring into his school, the majority of his students paid a pretty penny to attend. The sad truth of the matter was that all of that high end tech and state of the art facilities required a lot of money to develop and then maintain. There was little anyone in the facility could do about that much. But Cyrano hadn't really started the Academy to make money. He'd wanted to support and develop the talents of battlers all across Unova and beyond. Speaking with someone not in a privileged enough position to attend just convinced Cyrano he needed to focus on bolstering his exchange program. He didn't want money of all things to be what kept a talented ace from reaching new heights.
"You certainly do seem to have what it takes to walk among the rest of my student body, though." he continued, deciding at once what he was going to do about this particular situation. "Should you ever feel a desire to join, you let me know. I'll be happy to find a place for a treasured business partner."
And he would work on the program when he got back home. He had to do what he could to provide an opportunity to others of such strong skill, even if they didn't have the funds to attend.
Having her testimony that would be used in advertising? This was rather sudden; coming from the school that's in her home region and only attending it as a dual enrollment program between the two schools.
And then using that nickname in particular also caught her off guard.
"Uh...Y-Yeah...! Sorry...kinda got me out of my train of thought when you came over for a sec."
The way that he suddenly opened his eyes and dipped his head low to gaze at her for a moment shifted the tone of the conversation on a dime. He wondered what could possibly be going on inside that head to cause a reaction like that. He would have expected her to be rather used to conversations like this but she had appeared to space out for a moment like something had snatched her right out of the moment... Not that he wasn't used to people being surprised by him, but it caught him just as off guard. Was it surprise that did that, or pain? He didn't have any real information that would give him reason to assume as much, and doing so verbally would be rude.
But the pocket of seriousness died just as instantly as it had come when Cyrano made the decision that whatever had just happened would probably be best dealt with by drowning it out with mirth. No one wanted to ruminate on past experiences. As much as he often missed memories he knew must have at one time been precious, he knew there were some things that probably were better off forgotten. If it was something sad, even though he couldn't be sure of it, he didn't want to pry too much or make the situation worse.
"Well, then!" he remarked, drawing out his rotom phone. "In that case I'll send you a form to fill out with your testimony. That way you can take all the time you need on it and send it back to me when you're done. I can't wait to see what you have to share with me."
His grin brightened and he seemed to stand a bit taller as Cyrano approved of his proposed picnic. Perhaps it was a bit silly to be so excited over something as trivial as that, but on the uncommon occasion that Emmet actually managed to actually slow down and relax, it was often some of the simpler things in life that he enjoyed the most. It was hard to slow down, but it was worth it for the little moments of life he'd miss out on otherwise. That could certainly wait until a bit later, though. Right now, he was much more interested in learning about and seeing more of the terrarium. And hopefully, they'd find the ideal picnic spot along the way! Food always tasted better at the end of a journey, too.
"...No. I do not believe I 'catch your drift'." He did air quotes around the idiom. "If you are further suggesting something- you will have to explain it to me. Clearly and concisely." A small pause, realizing that he might be coming across as a little too demanding. "Please." There. That was better! Though he was fairly confident Cyrano knew him well enough not to be offended, he still wanted to try his best to be polite while he was technically a guest in the other's facility- which he was only becoming more impressed and excited about by the second! He excitedly swung his arms as he followed the director, doing his best to keep his pace a bit slower than usual, to match the other's.
"If you would ever like assistance in remembering how something functions, feel free to let me know!" He sounded a bit too excited as he offered his assistance. "I do not know much about newer technology. But I like learning about it when I can! Between the two of us I am sure we can reverse engineer anything you need!" It was a win/win in his book. He'd help Cyrano remember something, and in return he'd gain further insight on how certain terrarium features operated and maybe be able to use some of that information on improving the subway. "I had actually never heard of terastellization until now! It makes battles really interesting!! Eelektross's terra type is flying. It is verrry handy for when mold breaker negates his ability to levitate. If Ingo and I were to challenge passengers here, I would not need to worry as much when he brings out Haxorus to use earthquake..." A tired little laugh. He'd been terrorized by that horrendous combination for far too long. "And I am excited to see what other strategies I can come up with too!!!"
"You don-- Oh! Hahaha, you really are funny when you want to be, aren't you?" Cyrano would slap him over the shoulder if he didn't worry he might actually get himself banned from the battle subway.
The proposition set his eyes glimmering with excitement, though. Learning about and adopting technologies from places that were willing to work with him was all well and good, of course. However, the idea of just... Reverse engineering anything he wanted was far more interesting of an idea to him. To have the ability to simply create their own innovations just with some astute observations and a little bit of experimentation. And if it could prove beneficial for both of their facilities, he was sure any setbacks in the process could be... mostly swept under the rug.
"Ah, isn't marvelous!?" Cryano harped to the comment bout terastellization. "When I visited my friend Clavell in Paldea and discovered its existence, I could barely contain my excitement. I knew I had to bring that kind of experience in to Unova. If I could spread the same similar intricacies from other regions I absolutely would, but I'm still working on that one. But terastellizing is by far one of the more interesting of these, however. The way you can change a battle in your favor by altering the type of your pokemon creates such a thrill."
He wove his way through the expanse of the Terrarium and slowly the climate began shifting around them, making way for the tropical surroundings of this corner. It was a beautiful habitat for the pokemon that began appearing here and there, enjoying the greenery and the beautiful flowers. Just seeing the place flourishing was enough to make Cyrano beam with pride. None of this would have been possible if he hadn't taken the first steps.

uh…
is he …
okay…?????
The guy is just … standing there. Thinking. Ree’s foot jiggles a little as they adjust their wheelchair, watching this guy, wondering if they have to, like.. call??? Someone???
old guys are so weird.
“Okay, bet. Thirty four boxes … I’ll sell em to you for three hundred, since you’re taking a bunch of em.” That’s what businesspeople do, right? Sales???? On large bulk orders??? They don’t know.
“I’ll keep favorite flavors in mind, but I’ll probably do whatever I want anyway.”
"And at a price like that. I think the staff will be quite proud of me for this one." They wouldn't. "By the by, how is your battling skills? I can't recall if I've ever seen you attending my academy before, but I'd be interesting in seeing how well you do in the ring. Maybe bring some more cultural insight to my school?"
He didn't expect this particular line would get very far, to be honest, but it was worth the shot. He couldn't think of any students of his that were actually from Alola, and any way he could improve his facility by sharing knowledge and companionship across borders was always a good opportunity. He didn't have much of an idea of the battling ability of this kid, but that could really be figured out later when he had established an interest in the first place.
He was pretty sure that if Ree had any interest and skill to join in the first place they probably already would have.
⥫ Cyrano and Sexuality ⥭
{It's that time of the year to talk about individual muse sexuality, so here's a post about Cyrano's as I portray him. This is will all be under a cut for nsfw and suggestive themes, so please keep that in mind going forward.}
{Guess who's finally back, y'all? I have a ton of stuff to catch up on across all of my accounts, but before that I wanna make sexuality posts for all of the muses that don't have one yet. Abe, Saguaro, Cyrano, and Byron I think is the extent of it. I would make some for Kaoru and Souan, but I'm still kind of struggling to get any kind of muse for either of them so I think I should wait until I catch up on their blog, if that even happens. Right now I'm just going to focus on folks I do have muse for and do theirs.}
{Then after that I'll start trying to catch up on threads I owe.}
{Sorry about the absence, folks. I've had a pretty busy weekend and haven't had a chance to get online. It's the summer and Sibling hasn't gone on the road yet, so that's likely to be the case for a while longer yet.}
{But! If I get some time to pull out my computer I'll try to do something. For the meantime just be patient with me a little longer~ I might pop in and answer asks at some point, but activity will continue to be low until I'm no longer needed.}
{Oh, I should say, though, that you can always catch me on Discord if you need me. I can usually answer that one, and while rp might be shorter there I can do it! So y'all just lemme know if you need me or my disc. •v•}
“This months flavors are watermelon warhead, lemon square surprise, takis hot honey — cos that’s the flavor that’s always in rotation — and baked sweet potato.”
The flavors are always unique, that’s for sure …
“Right now, I can’t handle any big orders. The alolan championship conference is next month, an’ i’m gettin’ ready for that. But I can make a decent order for ya, if that’s what you need.”
a school? — oh, right. The one that lady was a teacher of. In Unova.
“I can sell you half my stock if ya want. That’s thirty four boxes.”
A championship! How had he not been informed? Or... Had he been informed and simply forgot? Either case was very possible at this point. Oh, but what was he thinking? He had a business deal to manage. Not getting a large order was pretty unfortunate, but to be honest, he really hadn't even been able to get that many. It was one kid running a program on their own, and whatever help they were getting likely wasn't going to be enough to keep up with big demand like what he was asking for...
He could definitely take this out of the school funds, couldn't he...?
Fighting through every ounce of wild, off the wall thought speeding through his mind at a breakneck pace, Cyrano continued this cyclic internal monologue for some time, simply sitting in silence with his eyes closed, as if he were in very deep thought. When he did eventually come back around to his initial thought, which was honestly only whether or not he should make another purchase, he gave a firm nod as if some very big decision had been made instead.
"Very well, I think that will be perfectly suitable amount," Cyrano replied as if he hadn't been sitting there for a good four minutes just thinking. "And I'll let you know which flavors are the most popular among my students to help with your future decisions."
That was, if he could even remember which flavors those were.

⥫ Continued from here ⥭ ⥫ @vixletserenity ⥭
≼ ⌬ ≽
"Well, I do like to try to emphasize battling here at Blueberry Academy," Cyrano barked with a confident air. "I want to give young and talented trainers a chance to really flex their skills in a way that just isn't possible with a lot of battle leagues and gym challenges. I would argue that the fact you even have an outlet for double battles to begin with is rather forward thinking of your region! Oh... I'm rambling aren't I? If our clubs is a good way to drawn in students who have the battle skills but not the drive, I think I'll start using that in advertising... Hmm... Would you be willing to give a short testimony, Celly?"
Did he just give her a nickname without her permission? Why, yes he did.
@blueskilled approached!
"Back again," Cyrano hummed, adjusting the brim of his hat. "How did your fundraiser go? Did it take off or did you come back to try something new?"
Oh yeah. Ree remembers this guy — he’s the guy they sold some Skull Scout cookies to, right before the whole thing with ghetsis went down.
They had been so stressed and angry that they almost forgot.
But this guy made an impression. Ree looks up at him, and the eevee in their lap’s ear twitches.
“Oh, yeah, it went great,” they say, a smile twitching at the corners of their mouth. “Really great. Sold a lot, earned a lot. I’m makin’ new flavors every month now! Why? Did you want some more, old man?”
"Well, that would depend on what kind of flavors you have now," Cyrano chirped back. "I might be willing to put in for something interesting. Your last batch was quite the hit among our students."
He twirled his hat and popped it back on his head, proud of himself for making such a good call on this young entrepreneur. They looked a little bit like they were about to implode, but that was just all the more reason to keep supporting them. And that very important... uh... goal they were working towards...
What was it they were trying to do again...?
Oh well, cookies were cookies.
"And I was wondering how large of an order you think you could handle. We ran out of them far too quickly last time, but then it was just a trial, wasn't it? I'd wager we could do an awful lot more now that you have a foot in the door."
