I just know that in real life, there would've been ships on Tumblr for Ilya and Shane from their rookie years and that Tumblr would go crazy when Ilya and Shane reveal their relationship.

Tbh I'm surprised that no one caught on to their relationship sooner considering how they are so down bad for each other even in public and how fans in any fandom observe every little interaction and over analyse things .

Saezuru & Timing (Ch.66)

When I tell you this story got a hold of me four years ago and I haven't let go since (10+ year veterans you have my greatest respect).

Yoneda Kou's timing with this series is utter perfection and highly strategic. The hiatus', time between chapters, this story having been ongoing for 10+ years, etc. It all lends to the emotional payoff of this story. I saw one spoiler from ch.66 and started to cry. In this media landscape, not much seems to move me. But Saezuru never fails to.

The timing of this series and the slow release genuinely gives us a better look into their world, the pain, indeicison and self denial, and of the reprucussions of living with that decision for years. It's too good guys.

Imagine reading this story as one of the bls you finish in a single night cause you just need have it - hell no. We would miss so much - I just.. ugh it's perfect. I wanna gush all day about her story telling and how she's enrolling the reader in it as well.

I have no one to talk to about this story irl, but I know the people in this community will understand how I feel right now!! Thank you all for your contributions to this community.

My best regards to Yoneda Kou and every single person who keeps this story alive.

I still love this website so much because it feels like the last connection we have to an internet that doesn’t exist anymore like I can come on here and scroll through posts that are literally just funny or beautiful or interesting with no intention to sell me something or influence me we are all just here for a laugh. I really want Yashiro and Doumeki to have a happy ending.

Some have pointed out the possibility of the death of either Yashiro or Doumeki, and it really scared me.I know that not every story needs to have a happy ending, I'm a sucker for tragic endings usually, but for this series I really need it to end well.

It doesn't need to be a sunshine and rainbows type of ending but I need both of them to be alive at the end of the story at all costs.

After years and years of keeping up with Saezuru, with this much progress happening between Doumeki and Yashiro, I really won't be able to process the death of any of them.
