London Fashion Doll Fair 2025

My friend was running a craft workshop at the event so I thought, why not go along? Other than one guy with a Dollfie Dream, my girls stood out as being way bigger than all the other dolls! A blessing in disguise, as all the vendors were the wrong scale for me and I didn't spend much. The theme was 80s so I had a great time going around with my camera, but mostly I hung around the craft table and had a relaxed day.

tiny granny square jacket update:

thought i was ready to move to sleeves, but:

assembled the hood and the body fronts and back as per pattern instructions, only to find that i don't actually like the fit on my doll as far as the body length. i'm adding another row of the small 4-round squares to both the front and back panels, so i need 8 more of those. 2 finished, then 2 that need ends woven in and the black border round added...so not quite halfway on this extra step

pattern calls for 2 of the big 6-round grannies per sleeve, so theoretically i have the ones for one sleeve done and then one that needs ends woven in and black border round added for the second sleeve. but tbh i am expecting to adjust the sleeves a lot as well, so...

also made this pair of bjd eyes for a friend's doll the other day. haven't made eyes in a while-- was fun to revisit, especially since they came out really nice and the resin behaved and didn't torture me with air bubbles 😅
