“Look, I love all my friends, but you asked. And we’re supposed to be honest, or something.”

“Dude, being Captain of the Guard is a full-time job. Even if I wanted a second job, I wouldn’t have the time. Besides, it’s not like I need the money.”

“Seriously, though, even if I did feel any of that… mushy junk, I wouldn’t know how to deal with any of it. And I definitely wouldn’t know how to talk about it.”

“If I’d made these myself, I wouldn’t have made the claw boots out of solid gold. Do you know how uncomfortable these are? The smithy who made my armor absolutely had no idea how talons work.”

“As for petty crimes? Yeah, we always have those. Most ponies respect the Princess too much to try and rob from the castle, though, so I don’t get involved in those directly.”

“I already have a guardian, even if he… wasn’t the best. And even if I didn’t, I’m an adult now. I don’t need a legal guardian.”
