compared to all other episodes, the finale just felt so disingenuous. the tone was so completely off to me and honestly? it’s because it focused solely on sam and dean. that’s not what supernatural was about anymore yet they threw away all of the other characters that they considered family without giving them a single mention. i understand the show revolves around sam and dean and their relationship, but evolved to be so much more than that and they really took 100 steps back when they decided to ignore everyone who disappeared in 15x18 and give 2 minuscule shoutouts to jack and cas. these past seasons have been all about found family and “family don’t end in blood” and yet all they did tonight was prove that that’s not true. this just didn’t feel like supernatural to me at all

They didn’t even mention all the characters in the finale. Yes they did mention Donna, John and Mary Winchester and Rufus. Bobby came back but what about when they were on earth, why wasn’t there no one at Dean’s funeral? Where was Donna, Jody, Garth, Claire????? That wasn’t the hunter’s funeral Dean deserved!!
