I'm pretty happy and content with my life. I think that's a great thing to be able to say this given the actual condition of our society and general feeling of people. The two things I'd like to improve a little are just have more energy and willpower to actually create things and some more casual travelling. Nothing grand, but life kicks in and keeps those things a bit at bay. My parents are 80 and 71, I'm lucky to be living just above their appartement. I see them everyday. I am lucky I know. And that makes it hard to leave to go on a trip. I also have a lovely dovely little cat. Maybe they're excuses maybe not. However I've never been one to travel far away. I like beautiful things nearby, e.g. England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Switzerland, the northsea. No great adventures like bungee jumps, parachute, deep sea diving. Just quiet wandering, taking pictures, drinking a coffee somewhere cosy, indulge in local delicacies. Those things you know. I like museums but I'm not the one queueing for an hour and a half just to see some statue or painting. My heart doesn't beat faster when i'm in the same room as the Monalisa. My heart beats faster when at the end of the day i can see the sun, the scenery, the colours in the sky, feel the soft breeze caressing my face, diving into the quietness of a place. Feeling one with the universe. Might sound woowoo but that really is a feeling.
Funny how this post turned out. I wanted to reminisce about a road trip I did through Scotland and tell you how sorry I was I lost all the pictures I took there. I'm left with only the analog pictures. Everything on the harddrive vanished with the harddrive crash. What a pity.
