I know that Twilight/Loid has been getting hate for a while now but I think it’s gotten worse with the recent arcs. From my perspective, people’s expectations of him is quite different from Endo-sensei’s intentions for him so this is probably one factor for the dissatisfaction with his character development.

I think it’s important to understand Twilight’s intentions behind using the tranquilizer in this arc. I actually don’t think it’s as bad as when he impersonated Curtis to bait Yor into revealing that she knew about Yuri’s job in the SSS. The tranquilizer was his last resort after going through multiple options. If it turns out that Yor actually recognized Curtis, it would not only put him at risk but also put Yor and Anya’s life at risk too. Ultimately, the decision to get Yor out of the party was the safest option for all of them even if it was with an extreme action on Twilight’s part.

However, I do find it contradictory that some fans hated Twilight’s decision to use the tranquilizer on Yor while also wanting Twiyor to kiss and even consummate their relationship. In my opinion, if Twiyor actually kissed, it would actually be more harmful to Yor in the long run. Because even if we know he has genuine feelings for Yor, she would still be led on by a lie. How can Yor believe anything Loid says or does if everything she currently knows about him is a lie? She would probably feel used too.

Also… behold the contrast between these two scenes, 17 chapters apart.

They’re far more comfortable holding hands now. And that’s not even touching on the fact that the panels from Ch. 119 are done to put on a show, to act like a married couple is “supposed to” interact with each other, versus the panels from Ch. 136 being a societally shared understanding as to how a married couple interacts with each other.

I don't think he's trying to say that Yor is a "nuisance" in a deameaning way or in an annoyed way. He is being rational here. He is skeptical if Yor is someone that would become an unreasonable interference to the mission, someone that would hinder him completing this mission or is she beneficial to completing Operation Strix. There's a lot of layers into this.

THIS IS SUCH A SWEET MOMENT. That close up (Endooo 💗) of their hands as Yor reached out and took his hand in hers to help him lean on her. Yor's nerves don't seem to flare up at their proximity when her husband needs her. There is no tolerance meter, she looks calm, confident in being there to support him and have him rely on her.

Also, this look on her face. Yor always shows such gentle and soft expressions, but this here is so tender and full of compassion and it feels like she just locked in, the reflection of him in her eyes is such a sweet touch too (Endo again 💗)

Also, Yor why so pretty? Why? 💖💖

Urgh, alright. I think we've all seen this one coming, 'cause boy, the pressure and stress Twilight has been pushing through is beyond what the human body can bear.

I kind of thought a scene like this would be a bit of a haha moment for me, but the way he kept thinking, "If only I had been more perfect... had been more..." and then right before he could finish another demoralizing thought, his body gives up on him and he collapses...my heart and stomach switched places. I could go on about how he doesn't see just how much of his whole being he is pouring into this, how diligently he does his job, sparing no effort and doing far more than could reasonably be expected of one individual, for the greater good. But hey, we all know it. He is enough. He just doesn't know it yet. So I look forward to the day this man finally gets to see and understand that he's been doing a great job for so long. There are simply things, as unpredictable as life can be, that he can't control, anticipate, or prepare for.

Anyways, moving on..

YOR, sweetie, I think it has been established that this man prolly will be swooning, suprised(and asking questions) , but swooning still if she did indeed carry him here. His reaction to when she kicked that guy flying the first time they met is proof of how he'd feel about it ig.

Unrelated to Twiyor, but oh so lovely seeing some Chloe and Yuri moments (although for some reason, I always thought Yuri and Nightfall could be, possibly.. ) but Chloe is quite lovable too and such a Sweetheart.

Then we have this hilarious scene, lol.

I mean, imagine not wanting your boss around to the point you'd actually set your own house on fire just to have him leave, wow and lmao.

Oh, Yuri's character development. We love to see it. Yes please!
