2026 has been a goddamn mess, holy shit.

Booked a same day flight to CO because my dad called me to say my mom has been in the hospital since Sunday with nonstop seizures. Left work crying. Came home to cry more and start packing until J got home to help me book everything and translate some things for my dad I wasn’t sure how to explain in Spanish.
The nurses/chief who have called me explained that the situation is way worse than I anticipated. If yall could keep my family in your prayers and thoughts I’d appreciate it.
And as we approach the anniversary of this shit show (aka the start of my mom being in the hospital for over two months) my dad gets admitted to the hospital (yesterday) with heart issues. I don’t know much aside from they think he needs a pacemaker, but they just keep running more tests without really saying anything. Hopefully it’s just that, the doctors I did speak to seemed hopeful.
But wow. I’m now terrified to answer personal calls at work.

Vacation was mostly great. A little stressful but fun.
Having to put our bulldog to sleep two days before leaving was not great but at least vacation distracted the kids so they didn’t stay sad for too long.
Work is a lot. It’s getting better but oof. It’s a lot.
House renovations are expensive, I’m tired of being a homeowner, but the house will look so nice with new paint and a newly painted fence that isn’t in disrepair.
Kids will be moving to the bigger room next month as my husband’s sister moves out. I have my eye on some ikea organization things for in there that they will love. The double closets are going to be a game changer for them lol.
Our cat is adorable and funny but I swear at 11pm she gets possessed 😂 I’m gonna get her some more toys to combat kitten energy. She’s so big now
I’ve officially started my RBT training. Here’s hoping I can knock it out fairly quickly, since I was supposed to do it last year.
Sitting for my BCBA exam in the fall (hopefully). An 8 year process for me but I’m proud of my journey.
