[ Katheryn Winnick, female, she/her ] whatever you think you know about KIERA LORENZ, the 145 year old, BISEXUAL, NEW COMER, it is likely time for you to start reconsidering. the rumored WEREWOLF Â is often described as FLIRTAOUS + RESOURCEFUL but donât let them fool you; they can also be CRUEL + SADISTIC, which often has them regarded as the THE MADQUEEN they are a CO-BUSINESS OWNER Â at the COOL WATERâS INK but itâs also said they are a ALPHA'S WIFE within the BLOOD MOON PACK. whatever you hear, you canât deny thereâs more to them that meets the eye, and itâs time we start uncovering the truth. Â
Kiera was born years ago to an all born wolf pack, back in the days when it was the norm for wolves to hunt humans, it seems to be a dying art, a dying way of life. Kiera was born the daughter of an alpha and she never had an easy life, being traded off to another alpha to make peace between the two. Though peace wasnât something that could last forever, even if the two packs wanted to keep it. The humans in the area fearful of the hunting the pack did decided to rise up and ban together.Â
When they attacked it was nearly morning, the pack tired from it late night hunt and shift were dead asleep by the time the humans came charging in. Slaying everyone they came across, Kiera had been lucky enough to been woken by her youngest crying fit wanting to fed. Rounding up her children the she-wolf took to the wood as her husband stayed behind fighting. He went down as a warrior and for that she told her children to keep their heads held high.Â
A displaced wolf yet still an alpha in rank Kiera traveled with her children, hunting humans in revenge for the death of her pack and husband, bitter from the chaos they unleashed on her family. She raised her children in the old ways and refused to allow them to be kind with humans, she wouldnât take any mutts for grandchildren.Â
Eventually over the years and travels she came across Razor the man who understood her and the old ways in a way that none of these younger wolves tend to. He was the alpha of a pack all his own and she made sure that he understood her interest, taking the eyes of another female who tried to bide for his attentions. She has taken her place by his side, keeping the old ways alive and keeping the pack in place.Â
She had given Razor two healthy beautiful children however it was proven that no matter the genes some children donât always come out the way they wish. Their daughter wasnât strong enough for this world, being killed by their son, Theodore. Kiera doesnât fault her son, he has the heart of a warrior and canât nor shouldnât refuse that. She can always make more children for her husband and strengthen the pack further. She refuses to lose this husband the same way she lost her last and her only wish is to ensure her strong children make it through the world. Willing to do anything to ensure the world is good enough for their future.

When his mother began wiping her own face, clearing away the tears heâd never really seen her cry before Teddy felt his heart ache deep in his chest, heâd never seen this side of his mother before and it was starting to scare him. When she spoke next he could hear the shock in her tone and even the tinge of disappointment.Â
Heâd been taught early on that if hunters came, if anyone came for him he was to fight until the death. You didnât let yourself get taken alive.Â
Suddenly though she was pulling him in closer, hugging him tightly and he felt his arms wrapping around her, holding her just as close as he listened to her, heard her call him sweet boy. It made him feel like a child again, it made him feel safe, if a little small.Â
Then she said that Razor was gone, half the pack split from her and that theyâd been betrayed. He closed his eyes, holding her a bit tighter as he remembered seeing Kaleb that night in the hospital, how heâd let him go knowing what he planned to do.Â
-
Crying was for the weak, that was said without fail by Razor and at many times Kiera agreed but crying over the dead couldnât be helped. Even the wildest of wolves mourned for their dead, she would howl at the moon if she had one, wail into the night she will. People will know her sorrow and they will quake at the thought of her extracting her revenge on his behalf. A formal challenge was one thing, a backstabbing attack and fleeing into the night was another. Sheâd see this town burned and drenched in blood before she saw it in peace while her beloved was in the ground.
âYour birthright was stolen from you, along with all the work your father and I have put into this pack.â Sheâd have no choice but to show the omegas left under her rule that she wasnât going to let this allow them to walk over her, that above all else she was Alpha and that to question it not only meant death but a painful one that would haunt those who witness it. âWeâre hunting omegas, traitors who left will know the laws of Bloodmoon still stand.â No one left the pack, under pain of death.
The slap to his face made Teddy reel back, tears coming to his eyes almost immediately as he stared at his mother, in all his life he couldnât remember a time sheâd actually struck him. Only ever remembering his father laying hands on him.Â
Looking away from her he lowered his head as he shook it back and forth, âNo⌠I.. I was.. they took us, to the mountains. They locked us there and then⌠they just were taken and they died or something and⌠the ones father told me about, Spear. They came and they took us out of the mountain and thatâs itâŚâÂ
Looking back up at her he shook his head, âI didnât mean to, Iâm sorry, mother. Iâm sorry.â
-
Taken back by her own actions Kiera wiped her own face trying to get the tears from her eyes, crying was for the weak but the hormones that coursed through her body made it nearly impossible to stop them at the moment. She never felt the need to raise a hand to her children with Razor, their father took that role and she found little reason for them both discipline in such a brute way.Â
âYou let yourself get taken?â There was an obvious note of shock and even disappointment, they knew they were never to be taken alive. Hunters who took wolves tortured them, used them for information to harm the pack. Kiera would rather her children be killed than taken alive, it was a lesser evil, such as when a single male was left with the women and children in times of war incase their village or city was sacked to keep them from abuse and slavery.Â
Realizing the harshness of her words and actions her motherly tendency resurfaced and she pulls the boy in to herself. Hugging tightly, âMy sweet boy.â He was soft, even after the death of his sister, while Razor took it as a sign the boy was hardening she knew differently. âYour father is gone, half the pack is split from me, I couldnât lose you as well. Weâve been betrayed.â
After being released and finally getting out of the mountains Teddy had fled the crowd the moment he was able to, rushing back into the woods to get away from it all. He needed to find Kitty, he needed to find her and explain where he was.Â
But as he ran a scent hit him like a ton of bricks, his mother, she was close by and he found himself drawn to it, rushing towards it as fast as he could.Â
The second she came into his eyesight he was on her, his arms wrapped around her and his face buried somewhere in between her neck and shoulder as he held her.Â
âI couldnât escape, I couldnât get free. I couldnât howl for you.âÂ

Kiera was a mess, with her husband body being brought to her by the omegas that were still under her alphahood and the missing of her youngest born child she allowed her grief to overcome her. She was accustomed to loss but it had been a great deal of time since she had it strike her in such a way, Razor was one she never expected to lose. Despite his careless behavior, taking the time to step away from his body, which she still refused to allow anyone to take form her, she stopped in her tracks as her son approached her. She went still as a board as he wrapped his arms around her and kept her close to him. The words he let out fell on deaf grief stricken ears and she pulled away from him slapping him hard across the face with tears in her eyes. âWhere were you?! Excuses while your family suffered?â Pain and anger surfaced despite the relief of knowing he was alive and well.
Kieraâs answer to his question caused the older werewolf to smile softly. Having lived his life in a nomadic style, he could very much relate to that⌠And yet, here he was: returning home after eons. Even if it no longer looked like home. âGood answer, pup⌠Although I think that nickname no longer fits you,â he teased with a chuckle.Â
It hurt to hear what had happened to her pack. Theyâd been rough around the edges, but many werewolves were⌠Still, they were strong and united, proud of themselves in a way that made the ancient werewolf proud as well. His own parents wouldâve loved to have met them. Sadly, Tristan knew too well what Kiera had gone through⌠Although she probably spoke of hunters being the perpetrators while the Old Godfrey Pack had fallen to the Legion of Heaven. Either way, those they loved were taken from them.Â
âFor every door that closes, another opens,â the Omega answered when Kiera mentioned new mates. Being as old as he was, Tristan had plenty of love affairs⌠But he only had considered one mateâthe only one who gave him his one child. However, sheâd been taken from them. Since then, all of the ancient werewolfâs attention had been on his offspring. âMore children? Congratulations,â he said with a proud smile. âIâm happy to hear you got the large family you always dreamed of⌠We should celebrate some time,â he suggested. âIâd love to meet the wolf that you made your mate⌠maybe give him a father talk,â Tristan teased with a chuckle. He hadnât needed to be told about her pregnancy when he could sense it, but knew it was less rude to allow her to announce it first. âThe mountains here are a beauty to run through.â
-
âPerhaps not but its nice to have someone around who is finally older than myself.â It was like being surrounded with children for the most part, not that she hated the fact that many of the wolves in her and Razorâs pack looked up to her simply out of the fact of her age. Scared of angering such an older wolf who could overpower them, looked to for knowledge that she had gotten from him over a century ago.Â
âThat is one way to look at things to be sure, I try not to dwell. Laying down and dying is never in my nature, weâre wolves not sheep.â If she were a weaker woman the surviving children would have quickly died without their father around, other wolves would have killed them for stepping into their territory. They would have been made omegas forced to work their way up the ranks of a pack that was lesser than they. But no they were pure wolves and they would act in such a way.Â
She dips her head in thanks, âWeâre dwindling in numbers, the amount of pure wolves in the world is at a sadden state. I am doing my part to keep our heritage alive and well.â If her children wanted to make her truly proud they would be finding good wolves to have children themselves. âI am sure we will have the time to soon my friend.â Celebrating new life within the pack was something she looked forward to, it wasnât something that often happened but one more to add to the ranks was something to find joy in. âA young alpha full of pride and who understands the importance of the old ways. I would be highly amused to see how you and Razor get on.â She could see it easily getting out of hand quickly but would do her best to keep her husband distracted rather than allow himself to offend Tristan or feel offended himself. âThey are, its one of the many reasons we aim to take this place for our pack. It in a way called to us.â

Razor was picking up some food for him and Samara when he caught a familiar scent. For a moment, the Omega couldnât place it⌠Until she was right on him. Kiera. The pup from his memory was hidden in her gaze and features, but itâd been almost a century since he had last seen her. However, he held nothing but good memories from his time with her pack.Â
A smile spread across the taller werewolfâs features. âLong way from home,â Tristan noted, a hint of pride in his tone as he reached out affectionately to cup her face for a moment. After all this time, he still couldnât help his wolf-like mannerisms where actions spoke louder than any words he could come up with. âYour pack?â he asked with a furrowed brow, unable to recognize the scents that lingered and mingled with her own.
-
It was a bittersweet sort of sighting, while she a sense of fondness for the older wolf who shared the knowledge of their people with her pack and herself, it easily turned to ash when she thought back on the people she lost. She smiles at the affectionate touch of her face, something a father figure would do, in fact her own father had done the same. âWhat is home if not with those you love?â She answers, while it was far from her birthplace in Norway, she had some of her children here, her mate.Â
The smile shifted slightly before it faded as she cleared her throat, âNot all are mention to survive like us.â The strong survive and sometimes just sometimes, they are taken from the world too soon. âAn attack in the night, many were slaughtered steps from their bed, others trapped in burning homes, few trapped and taken. Never to be seen again.â She gives a soft shrug of her shoulders, âWe move on, new pack, new mate, more children.â Instinctively she places her hands on her belly it would be a matter of months before it showed yet.
There was a scent on the breeze that she hadnât smelled in a great number of years, in fact she was still just a child, unmarried the last time she saw nor spoke to the wolf in the distance. The world was getting smaller, the odds of bumping into those from the past increasing in an alarming rate. Tristan didnât know this wolf any longer, she wasnât the same bright eyed little girl who wanted nothing more than a family of her own. She had grown colder in the years, required of her to keep her children safe without the protection of their father and pack. What was needed to keep Razor and herâs pack in line, though she had to assume the older wolf would understand this. âMy old friend, I never thought weâd cross paths again. What has it been over a century and a half?â
There was a familiar moodiness to Kiera that had her isolate from pack, even her own family. Knowing very well that she could and likely would snap at any little thing that might have irritated her. However she was starting to mellow out and in her mood she was feeling more maternal in nature. Seeking out her youngest child was simple, she always felt drawn to her children more so than any pack member. âHello my sweet boy.â She coos at him with a gentle smile, âAre you hungry? I thought a meal with your mother might do us both some good.â
Fists curled tightly at his sides as she made the same scoffing remark about him being a âweakâ wolf because of his heritage. âI think it makes me stronger - more human than some wolf spirit playing pretend.â He quipped back at her with a glare. He couldnât deny that he had often contemplated if his anger issues stemmed from his wolf nature entirely or if there was a part of them rooted in the fact he was half-blooded.
âWhat? Our pack hasnât done anything close to the kinds of things yours has. If anyone has any âmoral high groundâ to stand on in this argument, itâs the Peaks Pack.â He remarked sharply.
-
âBeing a stronger human isnât much to brag about my dear. Playing pretend? I donât pretend to be human, I live my life as I have for the last hundred and so years. Its a dog eat dog world out there and that is more literal than you might think.â She had seen packs tear each other apart, hunters do the same to packs, Razor had a right idea. One pack, one race, to protect themselves from petty in fighting and against those who would hunt them. If only the egos of other alphas could bend to the will. While she loved her mate like no other she knew that he wouldnât be able to manage it but he was the one who could lay the foundation.Â
âWhat is it that my pack has done really? Hmm? We moved into town and since then Iâve heard my husband was attacked, several times. Or he was threatened into defending himself. Another member of my pack was attacked as well, the mere fact they didnât allow themselves to be bettered shouldnât paint them in a negative light.â Twists of the facts of course but it was always based on who was the narrator as to how a story was told. âIf your alpha wanted to spare her pack or town any ugliness she would have challenged my husband. I would suggest myself but Razor would have been a more fair fight for her.â
What is in your characters refrigerator right now?Â
Beer, meat from fresh kills, milk, juice
On their bedroom floor?Â
Nothing, she keeps things tidy in the house, bloodied clothes that get ripped off end up in a burn pile.
On their nightstand?
Family pictures, phone, a glass
Your character is walking home in the dark when they hear some noises around the corner. What do they do?
Growl and taunt whoever it is to come out and face her.
How would they react if they heard someone crying out for help?
Unless it was a member of the pack she would ignore it, the weak die and even a member of the pack could likely be left behind. Unless she felt it was a disrespect upon her husband or herself for them to be attacked.
When your character thinks of their childhood kitchen, what smell do they associate with it? Sauerkraut? Oatmeal cookies? Paint? Why is that smell so resonant?
A stew boiling all day, something that her mother got on the fire early in the morning and has cooking throughout the day. Enough to feed the family and then some because it was never known how many might stop into the alphaâs home.
Your character is doing intense spring cleaning. What is easy for them to throw out? What is difficult for them to part with? Why?
They are nomads, keeping a lot of things is never on the list. She is willing to toss anything but things given to her by her children hold a special place in her heart.
It is Saturday at noon. What is your character doing? Give details. If theyâre eating breakfast, what exactly do they eat? If theyâre stretching out in the backyard to sun, what kind of blanket or towel do they lie on?
Hunting, just being able to shed off her human clothes and skin and run around as a wolf. Sheâd stalk and hunt deer, find some idiot humans out on a hike to hunt down as well. If and when Razor came out she would tease him and run through the wood nipping at him.
While driving down the road, your character hits a dog and swerves off the road into a tree. Do they get out to see to the car first, or the animal?
The animal, she would feel akin to the poor thing and if it was in pain she would rather take it out quickly to save it from its suffering. A car is just a thing, something she could replace if needed.Â
Your character is in a relationship and they come home to find their partner in bed with another person. How do they react? How do they feel?
The only way her partner would be in bed with another was if they planned it and sheâd know that it would only lead to a hunt. So sheâd just undress and get ready for it, tearing the meat from bone with her teeth and knowing at the end sheâd just up rolling around naked and bloody with her mate afterwards.
What is one strong memory that has stuck with your character from childhood? Why is it so powerful and lasting?
The first time she witnessed her father fight another alpha who wanted to move in on their land. The wolf taunted her father, claiming he would kill him, claim his woman in front of the whole pack and then murder his whelps with his bare hands. The fight went on for hours, it was bloody, cruel and violent. She could remember the air smelling like nothing but the fires that surrounded them and blood. It showed her how determined one has to be, to get what they think they deserved and to protect what was theirs.
Your character is getting ready for a night out. Where are they going? What do they wear? Who will they be with?
To a local bar, something she feels that she looks great in, likely with a black leather jacket and boots. Sheâd be going with Razor but they likely would arrive at different times, lure in a human for the two to play with. Whether that means just play acting like a spurred lover starting a fight or to go as far as to lure them back to their home and hunt them in the wood out back.
Your character gets into a discussion about death and dying. How would they describe the perfect death? Do they believe in life after? Are they afraid of death?
Dying to protect her children or in the heat of a battle, she wants to down in a bloody mess and take as many with her as she can. She isnât sure there is an afterlife but if there is she doesnât think sheâd end up anywhere bad. Hell is for those who feel guilty of something, she knows she lives her life as a pure wolf and doesnât apologize for it.
A friend of your character calls, they want to hang out. What do they do? If they stay home, what will your character suggest they do? If they go out, where will they go?
To shoot pool, drink a beer, hiking, going for a swim, anything in the wilderness can keep Kiera happy.Â

Kadenâs brow furrowed and for a moment he thought about jesting whether that meant she called Razor her wife when they were alone together. Yet, she quickly killed his smart-mouth desires when she remarked about her motherâs choice of husband being poor because of his human status. âThereâs nothing wrong with my mom being in love with my dad - or the fact that he is human and Iâm half.â He stated defensively.
âHmm. Hard to have a sit down proper when your pack and your husband has made it pretty clear there isnât anything to really talk about.â Kaden quipped back at her. Whenever she spoke about rebuilding being difficult and mentioned a family home that had burned to the ground, he couldnât help but feel somewhat sorry for her. âThatâs⌠rough.â He admitted.
-
Kiera lets out a small scoff, âOnly that it makes for a weaker wolf, hard to feel a real connection to your wolf nature when its muddied with human. I can only believe it makes things difficult for you, something that of course is no fault of your own. Shame when the sins of a mother or father backlash onto the children, should never be that way.â Though she had seen plenty of children killed for the actions of their parents or even inaction. âWe arenât meant to cross-breed, its why wolves keep to their packs and make marriage pacts with other packs.â
âOne canât have their cake and eat it too, your pack canât pretend to play on some moral high ground.â They werenât victims unless they allowed themselves to be, it seemed obvious they were willing to look weak to gain support of other species in town. The shame. âDarling you donât know the half of it. Weaker wolves would have laid down and died and many have, I will not be one of those.â
âAh, so youâre his mate⌠or wife?⌠I donât know, honestly Razor doesnât seem like the type capable of feeling lovey-dovey about someone.â Kaden remarked bluntly. He frowned slightly at her choice of words about his father. âHer husband. My Dadâs not just some âmateâ to make babies with.â He remarked with the typical sentiments of a teenager discussing the fact his parents do in fact have sex lives.
âWhat do you guys care about being âpart of the communityâ? I thought the Blood Moonâs goal was to destroy everything that wasnât in their own little world. Wonât you just make a new community if you win?â He questioned the woman.
-
She smiles, âWe are one in the same.â She paints out plainly, the words could be interchangeable than again to some a spouse was far more than a mere mate could be. âWell I would hope that he doesnât seem that way around you, I donât think myself a jealous woman but that would still be unseemly. Should a man not be one way towards his woman that he isnât with anyone else?â She questions, after all she got to see a side of him that no one else did, nothing spoke more to her than that fact alone. âNo, if he were it would be a poor choice indeed. Mating for sheer fact of having off-spring is usually done with a strong candidate, not a human.â It would be to strength the bloodline of pure wolves not muddle it with human weakness.Â
âFunny the assumptions people will make up without having a proper sit down.â Kiera didnât want the town to burn, it hardly would make a grand place for her to have anymore children if it were nothing but ash. âRebuilding from ash is never...pleasant. Iâve had my family home burned to the ground once, foundation is never the same.â
Razor offered a sincere smile at Kieraâs words. âAs you wish, my Empress,â he teased with a slight bow of his head and a playful wink. As she spoke of Sebastian, Razor chuckled again. âFair.â Sebastian was a great ally, but in the end, there could only be werewolf supremacy as long as Razor had any say in it. She was also right: it was beneath them. Soon enough, heâd find Sebastian and lay down the law for the witch to follow or suffer the appropriate punishment.Â
âTalking about magic⌠I was playing with a human deputy when⌠Iâm pretty sure we were interrupted by a witch.â Razor paused thoughtfully. That screech, the smell of rotten human flesh and the dark figure standing behind the reanimated corpses. âI thought vampires tended to hunt down necromancers, but Iâm sure there is one here,â the younger Alpha informed her. Heâd never seen one before, but his grandfather often spoke of a battle with oneâseeing it as a sort of great adventure story to pass down the Lorenz line.Â
-
âAh now that is something I can grow used to hearing.â She beams from over her mug, see it was moments like this that had her easily ignore anything anyone had to say about her mate. He was prickly when he needed to be but he was nothing but delectable in the light she saw, the mere fact it was privately shown to her made it all the more special to the she-wolf.Â
She could only scoff at the fact a witch would jump in to save a human, âThis town and its need to co-mingle, its as if the witches completely forget that humans set them ablaze for centuries, and undoubtedly would continue to do so if they knew they exist still.â She shakes her head baffled by the self-sabotage that they conducted. âNecromancer, what an interesting find. Perhaps the vampires here have a silly treaty with the witches, foolish of them. I doubt a necromancer will abide by one for long.âÂ
âI turned my back on a murderer, not my pack. If I couldâve saved others from being bullied by Razor, I wouldâve done, but I had to put myself first, and Iâm not going to apologise for that.â She said, narrowing her eyes. It was a half truth. The truth was she couldâve lived with the old ways, could still kill without hesitation if it was necessary, but her daughterâs safety depended on a pack where she wouldnât be pitted against others, where she could be coddled, even if Kiera thought that was a bad thing. She adapted because that was what a mother did.
âYou wonât be serving my heart to him, or anyone else. Iâll kill either of you before you come near me or my family.â She snarled, narrowing her eyes. âYouâre a mother too - Iâve seen your son. Nice kid, despite the obvious. Surely you can understand doing whatever you can to protect your child.â
-
âPack would disagree.â She points out easily enough, it was easy to spin something anyway they wanted it after all, the pack thought her nothing but dead and if told otherwise it would be said she abandoned them for her own selfish needs, rather than rise up and take the alpha hood from Razor she fled in the night like a coward. That made for a much better story, more believable. âRan like a coward with your tail between your legs. Makes sense I suppose, not alpha material it would seem.â Seeing how she had to find another pack to submit to. âAnd to hear you dirty your bloodline with half breeds.â
âOh I wouldnât be so sure of that pup.â She coos with a grin, unfazed by the snarling of the younger wolf, all bark and no bite. âI am a mother to a handful of children, everything is to insure the world is one fit for them. I am setting things in motion so my children wonât be hunted, they are the hunters. Because only one thing is certain in this world, the weak are killed much quicker.â Kiera had seen her family hunted down by humans, she had lost a husband and a child once before.Â
âItâs not about conquering. You think half your betas and omegas care about fighting for this place? They just want to belong, a place to call their own. If you were half the Alpha that mine is, that her mother was, maybe youâd both be putting your pack first instead of your ego.â She shrugged. She knew her words werenât going to move her, if she was anything like her husband. She wondered bitterly if she would be this desensitised if sheâd stayed where she was.
âYou wonât fight me unless thereâs a show to put on for Clarence. Heâs always loved a little bloodsport.â She said, hands on her hips, a small smirk on her face. âTrust me, Iâm not jealous of you. Youâre more than welcome to him.â
-
âBetas are meant to follow, they are the extension of their alpha. We hunt together, are one under the moon together, I find coddling wolves leads to their deaths. I am more of an alpha that yours can ever be because she will lead you all to a war you canât help but fail.â If anything Kiera could offer to challenge the woman herself but where would the fun in that be? She was more than twice their alphas age.Â
Kiera laughs shaking her head, âUnlike my husband, I donât require an audience. He still has that puppy nature within himself, needing to play with his prey, I find it endearing time to time. In fact I am more than certain if I brought your heart to him we could fry it up for a nice Valentines meal and be done with it.â She answers with a grin on her face, âThe tale of your death would only make for spectacular pillow talk.â She gives a shudder just thinking of it. âOh darling, thatâs not something that will ever be in question. I donât wish you dead for the mere fact of some dalliance with Razor, its a mere matter of rules being rules. You turned your back on your pack, the price of that is your life, as little as that might be worth anything.â

âKieraâŚâ He repeated the name. He could have sworn his mother had mentioned the name a few times and he racked his brain trying to remember. âYouâre part of the Blood Moons.â He stated as matter-of-fact. âI can smell Razor and a bunch of your packmates all over you.â He added. He decided to leave out the part where it was a little uncomfortable how many different scents there were that he didnât recognize. âKaden.â He introduced himself in return. âI wouldnât have figured your pack would follow the order to move into the hospital. Thought youâd have some secret cave lair or something set up out there in those woods.â Kaden remarked.
-
She smiles a little wider, âI am half of the Blood Moon, my husband is the other half. As a pack is only an extension of its alpha.â She answers with pride in her chest, he was worried and that gave some accomplishment. âIâm most certain you can smell Razor, it would be off if the scent of my mate was no where found on me. Must be how your mother offers protection to her human, marking him for others to know.â Though in other words it could be seen as a target on his back. âIts not so much on following orders as it is to remain part of the community struggle.â To keep an eye on everyone, to stir up trouble in the closed quarters while their omegas remained in the tunnels sheltered from the storm. âSo sure we donât?â She asks with a teasing smile on her face, âWe are part of this community now, many like it or not, there isnât much to be done about it now. After all my husband and myself are even business owners within it.â
As the woman approached, Kaden eyed her carefully. The scent of Razor and several other wolves hung around her - most of them he didnât recognize, including her own, more pronounced scent. As she questioned the scraping on his hand and leaned in close to his ear to warn him about being a particularly enticing scent for the local vampires, he let out a small grumbling sound.
âItâs fineâŚâ He stated, pulling his hand back from her as if she were about to take it and squeeze it or something. âJust caught myself on some sharp ice. Not a big deal.
