Where am I going?

All this election crap is making my head numb. I want this to be over already. I just hope this ends well.

Damn you gym guy!!! You did it again! You can't be watching me the whole time and looking like you want to talk to me but you're too afraid to do it without making me think too much!!! And that's all I've been thinking about now for 4 damn days!!!! Gym guy!!!! You're killing meeee!!!!

I'm not happy being married (nothing new there), I've had enough of my kids (who fight so much that I'm at the point where I don't want to go anywhere with them anymore), and I've gotten the feeling over the last 4 months that some of my oldest friends don't feel a connection to me anymore. It's almost like they look at me like I have 2 heads. I think I'm at the point where I would love to get in the car and just drive.... And drive and drive and drive. I just don't want to be here anymore. I don't mean here, on earth. I mean here in my situation. In the life I've made for myself. Does anyone else ever feel this way?

It’s been so long since I’ve written anything. I guess it’s just been a busy summer. A great one too. Now that things have slowed down I have time to think about what I’m doing. The biggest of which is running a race on October 2nd with an injured foot. Bad idea I know but every fall I feel compelled to do a race. It keeps me in check. I guess I just have to remember slow and steady… And hope that this injury heals fast. I’m so nervous. Why do I do this to myself? At least I always feel great when I cross the finish line.

I've come to learn some important lessons. The one I am currently working on is that no one really gives a shit about me (short of my kids). I get it. Lesson learned. I'm not the most social person in the world but I do try to support the friends I have. I just don't seem to get that support back.
