Okay so my friend kit and i made an au where emily is a rockstar (front woman of the band the two crew) and siobhan is a songwriter and they meet when brennan introduces them at a show afterparty, and they become friends and start dating as siobhan and em start writing songs together <3

Kit has a lot of the actual au details but to quickly sum up the world building

The two crew consists of Emily Axford as the frontwoman (very abigail morris energy if you know the last dinner party), she/any as they all jokingly refer to ttc as a boyband (very based on emily referring to herself as a boy in her old instagram captions) oh and yes her hair is partially dyed blue cause idc what emily says it was cute when she did that

Murph lead guitar, Caldwell on keys, Jake on drums and Zac joins them from time to time bass

Then Worlds beyond number with Aabria, Erika, Lou and Brennan is also a band and they’re all very good friends and play a lot of shows together (think boygenius and muna)

Siobhan has been working with wbn and is a longtime friend of brennan’s and her and emily finally meet at an afterparty where both bands performed

Rn it’s mainly a bunch of disconnected scenes, like we have their first meeting mostly planned out and a small acoustic show months later where em brings out siobhan for a few of the songs and then like certain highlights and moments between that, like fans thinks em and murph are still dating (they’re just bffs now but did date few years back) when emily starts performing love songs again but they’re actually about siobhan. but we’re still working out a lot of the story

And i dont really write ever but i might have to for this idk if anything just to map out the scenes in my head so i can draw more of them. Because I am ABSOLUTELY drawing more for it soon

A house on the edge of Scrapsylvania.

Okay so ramble about my headcanons for scrapsylvania incoming (i haven’t watched the first cloho episode since it came out which was 11 months ago so if i get any canon facts wrong please correct me)

What i remember is emily describing it as being like the giant trash islands in the ocean but with scrap metal instead of plastic and with mainly trash from a war between two continents. Also everyone has to make do with very little cause their entire city is built on scraps, with little access to resources. Besides that it’s definitely taking a lot of inspiration from czechia / eastern europe with details on both marya and ludmila’s outfits, and with marya, ludmila, kočka and straka all being czech names or words.

So what i am imagining is that there used to be a little fishing town/settlement in what was basically czechia if it had a coast (so YES i have taken inspiration from norwegian fishing villages here cause if you give me the chance to project parts of my life onto marya, i will) but when the war happened and these huge giant masses of trash and metal got washed ashore it poisoned the ground and a lot of people starved and died.

Those who remained and maybe including a few war refugees from said giant war, rebuilt as best they could, on top of the scrap heaps, with walkways and houses built from whatever they could find. So most of the people in scrapsylvania now live in very dense housing in what’s basically the city centre, kinda reminiscent of the slum districts in manila philippines. As they have to live close to the water since fishing is the only food source they still can rely on if they go far enough out at sea.

Of course they are still building up the city and the houses get better the more time goes on. Out from the city centre houses are more spread. Marya’s toyshop exists north towards the hills. To the west, at the edge of the scrap heaps, some old wooden houses still stand from before the war. And now as enough time has passed, grass is beginning to grow again. So some people are moving out there. (Considering this house being Ludmila’s house maybe?). Marya is definitely from the city tho, the only wildlife she saw as a kid was crows, as they’re one of the few living things left in this place. There’s also very little vegetation in the city itself.

Green: what used to be farmland/countryside, mostly dead and empty now apart from a few remaining houses from before. Grass is starting to come back.

Brown: giant heaps of scrap metal and other trash

Gray: densely populated areas, houses built from scrap
