New York is a funny place. It really knows how to kick you when you're down. It's like an abusive boyfriend that you love and protect even though he is constantly telling you that you are not good enough and your love will never be enough either. However, I have a theory that once you dump that abusive bastard a fancy, well groomed, successful man comes out of the depths of New York's hell that pushes you to follow your dreams, and tells you that you have always been enough. Unfortunately it seems all us New Yorkers have to take the abuse first. Its a weird right of passage but it teaches you a lot. I think I've finally met my New York Hunk. I'm still getting over the abuse and I've got a shitty job and no money thats left over from that but I'm moving forward. I feel like giving this city a run for its money and all I can say is that I cant wait to start school and my new life. I never thought I would go as far as to have an actual career, but here it is, a short year and a half away. In February 2016 I will be a graduate of SAE institute. I'm finally following my dreams and it is goddamn exciting. So take that New York.
