I was wondering why Sheng Shayou felt such an attachment to Hua Yong (more so than the partners his persona was modeled after) and I feel like this is exactly why Sheng Shayou liked Hua Yong more than his other partners, because even as an “omega”, Hua Yong was always strong-willed and made decisions for himself

Like yes, he did play obedient and soft, but he still fed him what he wanted, had his own life with a “job” and a “sister”, and didn’t have a problem speaking up when he needed to say something, even straight up making his mind to leave

And while all of that was calculated by Hua Yong, his decisiveness and independence shown through. Yes, he is hanging on Sheng Shayou’s every word and action, but it’s cause he’s actively choosing to, and it’s obvious even when he was lying that he’s strong-willed

I feel like that’s why Sheng Shayou was able to fall harder for Hua Yong and not want to abandon him like his exes. Yes it was Hua Yong’s disguise that initially drew him in, but it was his drive and initiative that really hooked him (especially compared to his very pretty but very meek exes)
