I stopped trying to wrap my head around it.

Dude, you guys split for that long and still got back together? That’s crazy! Like, the way she explained what your tattoo meant, I never realised that it was to do with you guys being apart. You know, as far as gushy couples go and making me want to puke, you and your girl are one of the most genuine I’ve ever come across. Be sure you do. 

Maybe your next piece will turn the tables and make them cry instead. 

We were forced apart. I don’t think I’d have left her the way I did, if I hadn’t needed to protect myself, and for a really long time I hated that I had to, but everything that happened, it’s made us who we are. It’s made our relationship how it is, and I’m thankful for that. Thanks, I think.

Now that I can believe, the whole lover more than fighter thing but I heard who she spoke about you and you guys little one and I know she’d fight for both of you. I can respect that, it’s one thing to be on show for the world but keeping family close and protecting them from all that, I respect it. Sounds like you got a good agent, I’ve heard some horror stories over the years but it’s good that you’ve got one of the few good ones.

Wow, seriously? I think the only high school sweethearts I know are my parents and they didn’t always have an easy ride. Yeah, but you made it through those days and weeks, that’s the important part. It’s good that you have stuff you believe in as well as people that believe in you, I know your girl does for the way she spoke about you. Busy little bee, aren’t ya? We were apart from May of 2011 til August of 2018... Went through hell apart, just to come back together and go through hell again, together. She’s been my best friend my entire life. I did. She’s one of a very nice handful. I am, I am. Thanks and I’ll let you know.

Yeah, really. Insanely interesting, never would’ve pegged that quiet pretty little thing for a boxer. Then again, they do say it’s the quiet ones you gotta watch out for. I got that impression from the ink she wanted. Though, it’s slightly comical that the up and coming pop star is understated. Guess management never gets a full grasp of what that means. 

I can only imagine. I’d be fucking shitting my pants with excitement if that were me. How long are you gonna make us lowly peoples wait for something new? 

It certainly is the quiet ones. She’s more of a lover than a fighter, but she will certainly fight. I know how to be loud and proud and can very easily put on a show, but when it comes to love and family, I prefer keeping it close to my chest. My agent knew what she was getting into when she took me on, so...

I’ve got another single coming out this month, then proper release will be in May.

Guess who’s decided to open her books again? That’s right, Maya Winters is back in business with very limited spaces. If anyone is looking for a personal trainer drop me a message but do it quick before some of my old clients who are with new trainers find out because I’ve heard a few would gladly come back. 

So if you’re after those buns of steel or just want a helping hand with getting fit, I’ve got four spaces open. I will only be training within the city, sorry guys, no more travelling for me, I plan on spending the next few months making the most with Eli before he starts school. I’m more than willing to offer a little guidance with dietary needs, what foods are good for you, which ones aren’t, what guilty pleasures you should still allow yourself, etc. but I will no longer be offering meal planning as part of my services, that said, I do have a colleague who is more than happy to help with any meal plans should you want them. 

In just a few days Sugarland will start our US tour. The pressure is on and I can feel the anxiety set in. What surprised me the most is the outpouring of love and support! Because due to completely sold out arena’s, we have added more shows to a few cities. New York, Boston, Huston, and Louisiana now have two shows instead of one. How on earth is this my life?

Is it bad I can’t wait for you to come back to New York just because I know what’s happening when you do?

Look at you, all loved up. Full back piece? Dude, don’t even get down with that shit, look at where you are now. Fuck, so many people relapse and don’t come back from that, I’ve seen it happen. Nah, it makes sense. My head is just whirring right now, there’s so many ways we can play with this. You free this week? Come in one morning before shop opens up, I’ll take you upstairs and we can go through some stuff and no one will interrupt or see when Lou comes in to open up. I won’t have exactly what you want when you come in but I’ll have a few bases we can work off until we get it the way you want. 

What can I say? She’s my high school sweetheart. Not full, no, but decent sized. There were days, weeks, where I wasn’t sure I was going to, if I’m being honest. But I had stuff to believe in and people who believe in me. I can try and make time? I’ve got meetings and interviews like every day. But I can see about making time. I can’t wait.

No way, your girl boxes? Where? Wait…Winters! I knew I knew that name from somewhere. We were supposed to have a charity match a while back but then I ended up paired with someone else and I never found out why. Smart thinking on the rings though, some of the rings I see people come in with are just insane. Like, how the fuck you meant to get shit done with something as big as your hand on your fucking finger? 

Either way, it’ll get played in the shop. Love getting to play stuff of people we’ve inked in the shop, feels full circle. 

She does! Were you really? Hmm, interesting. We’re also just not flashy people, y’know? Like, simple, understated,  it’s how we are.

I can’t wait for it to come out.

I am! So much good has come my way and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.

I don’t plan to. I know how lucky I am to even be in this position after everything that’s happened to me.

I hear it’s weirder when you actually have to take it off for work or whatever that first time after wearing it. 

Congrats. You’ll have to let me know when it’s gonna drop, we play all sorts in the shop.

I actually took that into account when I bought our rings. I wanted something that wasn’t gonna get in the way, especially since Maya likes to box and works with her hands and all of that. Wanted something that we could keep on through most things.

Thanks and I totally will. I’m sure it’ll be all over my social media before then, but I will.

I did. Y’should be proud of her, sat like a champ through both of them. Would you expect anything less of me? Ooooo, what you got in mind? I could do something fresh to draw up. 

I am always proud of her. Never. I want a back piece, something to represent how far I’ve come, even after the relapse last year and the chaos that followed. That represents getting picked up after the fall and how so much of me being here was because I had help and things I believed in. I don’t know if that makes sense and like, if it doesn’t I can easily come in and we can hash it out properly.

Over 4 months, and seeing the ring on Magda’s finger astounds me every day.
