ive been imagining some small scenarios where character A is in a gathering when they noticed character B on the other side of the room completely helpless, uncontrollably sneezing and sniffling and character A couldn't help but wonder why character B even forced themself to come to the gathering in such condition, as they approached character B to get them to the bedroom to get them rested.

character B felt really bad for receiving such care and service they're constantly insisting they're fine, but there's no way character A believes them from how miserable character B's face look, desperately sneezing over and over again, with such irritated wet nose that won't stop running, not to mention how noticably hot their body is. they're just so weak and fragile, it's impossible for character A to leave character B alone without imagining they would probably ended up hurting themself more.

deep down, character B was really grateful that someone actually wants to look after their wet, pathetic self, but they couldn't help feeling so bad that their nose continues to run more not only from the awful flu they're catching, but also vulnerable enough to start crying out of guilt and miserableness. character A understands character B's concern and reassured them dozens of time they do not feel troubled by the slightest. they don't care about missing out on the gathering or going all the way out helping through character B's recovery if it means being able to keep them safe and comfortable, and that alone makes anything bearable for character A to handle.
