she breathed in when he drew her closer ‘ i think you over estimate my appeal from nerds - he’s more the type to give me his coat to cover me up.’  she giggled. ‘ not all males will jump when they see sign of boobs, jake. ’ the teased with a grin as she looked up at him with cherubic features, a slight smirk etched on her features. ‘ don’t you worry, jake - you can make me bored without any effort at all. ’ she teased. 

“Oh, naive little Brooke. Is that really what you think?” Jake chuckled, his gaze shifting from her face to her cleavage. “Mhm, on the second thought, I don’t really feel like sharing you with our birthday boy after all.” He glanced up again, a smug grin tugging on the corners of his mouth. “You know, usually I’d call you on your bullshit, but since it’s working out in my favor in time around, I guess I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing.” He spoke huskily, leaning in for a kiss.

she sighed audibly, allowing audrey to know her unhappiness about having to ask for attention. ‘ it’s his seventeenth, this is important and i know we’ve a lot going on but a birthday is important and he’s your best friend, he’s only my awkward-barely-speaks-to-me friend. ’

"But you’re the party expert, Maddox. I don’t know what kind of help you’re expecting from me.” Audrey shrugged her shoulders. “Noah and I celebrated his last seven birthdays by watching Psycho in his room, so don’t set the bar too high for yourself. I’m sure he’ll love whatever you come up with.”

she squirmed a little when he began to kiss her neck before she allowed her eyes to flutter closed when he kissed behind her ear and she purred slightly, moving her fingers to his hand and coiling her small digits into his. ‘ there’s so much wrong with what you just said. ’ she breathed in as she opened her eyes again. ‘ first of all, i’m not dressing up as a maid for noah - or you. well,  maybe you, if i was bored enough. ’

“If it’s so wrong, then how come it feels so right?” he purred into ear as he laced his fingers with Brooke’s. Pulling away from her, Jake met her gaze again and arched an eyebrow. “Fair enough, I guess. It would probably be pretty insensitive to give the nerd a heart attack so close after he escaped death, right? However..” he started, lifting his hand to run his fingers through her blonde hair, then cupped the back of her neck and drew her toward him. “Feel free to elaborate on how I can get you bored enough, baby.” 

she rolled her large eyes when he moved to her side and hooked his arm around her shoulder. ‘ a stripper cake… ’ she hummed trying to decide if that was actually a good idea. ‘ i guess that’s not a terrible idea… ’ she mused to herself. ‘ where are we going to get a stripper though? pretty sure sixteen year olds can’t hire strippers. ’

“You should know by now that with the right amount of cash, pretty much anything can be arranged.” Jake chuckled, leaning into her and burying his face in the crook of her neck, trailing soft kisses until he reached the sweet, sensitive spot behind her ear. “But if you’d rather play it the legal way, then I could always order you a maid outfit instead, Brooke. Oh, and I’m also more than willing to help you out if you need an audience to practice your routine for.” 

she let out a huff of air when he said no. she was busying herself with tasks and jake was making that incredibly hard to do. ‘ please pay attention. ’ she sighed, moving towards him and sitting down beside him. ‘ it’s his birthday, at least pretend to care, jake. ’

“Trust me, The Jake is paying attention.” Jake smirked, shamelessly looking the short blonde up and down when she moved to sit down next to him. “Right, I guess I still need to adjust to the idea that that’s something we have to care about now.” He sighed, inching closer to Brooke so he could put an arm around her. “Okay, I’m gonna help you, and I already have an amazing idea. We order one of those giant cakes. You know, the ones that strippers jump out of? Do you think Foster is more into the slutty housekeeper type or the dominatrix cop?”
