â The Anatomy of a Fall by Novembersmith (yes the My Chemical Romance fanfiction) is my favorite fic of all time and quite possibly my favorite written work of all time. I read it for the first time at 14 years old and it has stuck with me since. It has impacted me, and my perspective, on a lot of things. And it saved my life in more than one way. ily Novembersmith

An unfortunate flaw in my writing is that all my characterizations HAVE to swear because I genuinely do not know how to write a person who never swears. I'm capable of minimizing the number to something more reasonable, but it is unfortunately genuinely impossible for me to completely eliminate swearing from my writing vocabulary. It wouldn't be a problem Normally because most of the characters I write would absolutely swear excessively, but occasionally (right now) I want to write a character that just wouldn't really swear and just like.... Idk how to not make them swear, they keep saying fuck when I don't want them to say fuck but like sometimes nothing works as well as just saying fuck but I'm projecting my personal bias onto a character that doesn't have that same bias at least not the way that I want to write them. Sigh
