I feel like I gotta point out -- this is hypervigilance, it's a trauma response, and it is not always right.
It can be very effective, and it can be really hard to learn to second-guess it, especially if you come from an environment where you couldn't check or trust people to be honest with you. But you have to learn to second-guess that instinct -- because it's not empathy, it's projection. You don't "know" what someone's feeling, you're assuming, based on an assumption that's kept you safe in the past.
If you trust your overtuned trauma response over the actual people around you, it will harm your relationships with them.
You hold yourself so well, people would never suspect you're going through hell.

Hello tumblr. Wala akong mapagsabihan pero namiss ko si tsongg today. Old friend, pero pag nagccross sya sa mind ko may part sa dibdib ko na sumasakit. Nasa canada na sya ngayon, tinutupad na nya yung nasa bucketlist namin nung 18 years old kami. Minsan iniisip ko kung hindi ba ko nagbago sa kanya, okay pa kaya kami? Kung ba itinago ko na lang yung feelings ko, mag best friend pa rin kaya kami? Kung ba pinabayaan ko na lang mawala yung love ko sa kanya before magkasama kaya kami ngayon? Dapat ba hindi ko binitiwan yung promise na through thick & thin?
