I have committed myself to the pursuit of excellence in the areas of songwriting and music production. I have been a musician since the age of 11, when I began studying the art of alto saxophone. I received a music scholarship to study music at Southern University (Baton Rouge, LA) where I studied with jazz instructor Alvin Batiste (Winton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Randy Jackson). It was during my time at S.U. I developed a love for producing while creating records for local acts and aspiring student artists. After graduation, I moved to Jackson, Mississippi to work at a local recording studio called "The Soul Kitchen" as an assistant engineer. At the studio I worked with many Mississippi artists including David Banner, Reese and Bigalow, and Boo. After 8 months in Jackson, I got married to my lovely wife Jada and moved to to St. Louis to accept a job as an Artist Development Representative for Warner Music Group. There I helped develop projects for many major recording artists including, Jaheim, Twista, Linkin Park, Kid Rock and T.I. Myself, along with Chris Loesch and Doug Firley, formed Hit Syndicate Records in St. Louis early in 2006. As a part of the Shock City Entertainment family, we collaborate with some of the hottest artists in the music business.
