Hiroki sighed. “Keep pinching your nose and breath through your mouth. If the blood doesn’t stop after ten minutes, we’ll know something’s wrong.” He looked around, and then back at Ryoutaro. “Is there anyone you can call who can give you a ride to the hospital?” Hiroki could give him a ride if he didn’t, but he figured riding in a car would be better than his bike for dealing with the bleeding nose.

"There’s no one, no." Even with his nose pinched he tried to talk, though the words sounded like they were being spoken through a tube. It’d been a good while since his last bloody nose and this one was a doozy. "Also, please don’t trouble yourself. If you point me in the right direction I can get there on my own. I’ve already cause you too much trouble today."

He didn’t mean to sound ungrateful, but it was true he was causing a lot of unnecessary problems for a complete stranger.

He raised an eyebrow. "Don't you remember where I found you? I'm not just going to let you wander around here with a bloody nose." He stood and held out his hand to Ryoutaro. "Come on, my bike's not far from here." He gave him a small smile. "It's really fine. You're not causing me any real trouble. I didn't really have any plans today other than talking to those people about their activities while I was gone."

"Okay, this is important. Friday is Boss’s birthday. He probably didn’t tell you cause he doesn’t want to bother anyone, but we’re throwing a surprise party… and by surprise I mean he knows it’s coming because we did it last year too."

Hiroki raised an eyebrow at the smile, especially when he saw his nose was bleeding. “Well, at least you can see straight.” He frowned slightly as he considered the problem. “Stay sitting up as straight as you can, and do your best not to swallow any of it. Try to breathe through your mouth.” He looked up at the sign, which was fine. “No, your face isn’t that hard, Nogami. Does your nose feel broken at all?”

Ryoutaro laughed a little, to go with the uneasy smile. ”It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a bloody nose. Usually I don’t move around much so I don’t get hurt like before.” He pulled his hand away from his nose and sniffed. He could breathe without pain and it didn’t feel broken, but as soon as he exhaled through his nose it gushed out blood again. ”… . maybe? Sorry.” This time he did listen and breathed through his mouth, though he did spit out a bit of blood from the drainage.

He was pretty glad he hadn’t broken the sign.

Hiroki stopped and looked back at Ryoutaro when he snapped at him, a slightly surprised look on his face as he listened to him to explain what he meant. Then he gave him a small, if slightly bitter smile. “Don’t apologize. You’ve got your reasons for feeling that way.” He ran a hand through his hair. “Look, my relationship with my parents isn’t good. They’re not really people I’d call my family, not with the way they are around me. That’s why it’s a waste of my time. I gave them another chance that they didn’t earn.” He turned back to continue walking towards the bus stop.

Then he heard the sound of Ryoutaro hitting the sign post and walked back to crouch down next to him, a concerned look on his face. “Hey, Nogami, you okay?” He held two fingers up in front of his face. “How many fingers do you see?”

"Mmm fine, yeah." A ridiculous smile pressed itself to his face, even as he felt the warmth and smelled the familiar scent of blood. It trickled down from his nose and onto his hand, which he’d raised up the moment he smelt the copper. "Two fingers. My nose is bleeding though, I didn’t think I hit it that hard, I guess I really wasn’t paying attention." His words sounded muffled as he pinched at his nose in an effort to stem some of it off before he ruined his clothes. The absolute last thing he needed was to get on a bus with blood on his shirt. "Did I break the sign?"

"Hm?" Hiroki hadn’t quite heard what Ryoutaro had mumbled, but he had noticed the mumble itself. Still, he didn’t seem too concerned as he continued walking towards the bus stop. "It’s no problem, really. Those guys should really know better." He looked back at Ryoutaro with his question. "Well, not really… It’s a little complicated. But no, it shouldn’t happen again." He shrugged and continued on. "I just took a little break cause my parents wanted me home for my birthday, and then for the holidays. All around a massive waste of my time, really."

"I don’t really think it’s a waste of your time to spend it with family. At least you still have someone there to be with, rather than spending it alone." The words snapped out of Ryoutaro’s mouth before he could stop them and he bit at his lower lip to prevent any more from leaking out. He’d just met this person - the person who saved him, even - and already he was acting as though it was okay to give them a life lesson or tell them they’re wrong. "S..sorry. I just…don’t have a family, so when…" Well that wasn’t entirely true. He did have a family, his sister, but who knew where’d she run off to. Her trip was taking longer than he thought it would, and that left him alone. As for the Imagin? Well.

He looked down at his shoes for a moment, to let the conversation drop, only to look up in time to see himself walk into a signpost. The impact was enough that he staggered backward before dropping down to his butt with a thud. Ryoutaro’s face felt like burning and he was sure parts of his vision had gone white.
