DJ Octavio has this snapback + samurai helmet in Splatoon 2 that I love so I designed him an octoling form. I had a stroke of genius halfway through drawing this which resulted in the jordans + getas.

Bonus:

Say what you will about current Demeter, but I can (almost) see where she’s coming from when it comes to her relationship with Persephone.

She obviously cares for her daughter very much, but from the calmness in her voice in the first panel, it seems as if she’s experienced this sort of bullying from Zeus before (not to this extent, of course).

We also know that he’s been forcing Demeter to hide nymphs for him.

So, for a moment, just for fun, let’s take a look at things from Demeter’s point of view: she has a daughter who she loves. However, her safety is put at risk due to a stupid man who does nothing but cheat on his wife, then expects others to cover for him. She would do anything to keep her child safe, and the main threat to her safety is a man. So you start prepping her to become an eternal maiden, meaning it would be forbidden for any man to try and marry her, thereby putting her at more risk of harm (check Episode 84 if you don’t know what I’m talking about).

In all this preparation, she fails to notice 2 things: Persephone is no longer a little girl, and Persephone doesn’t want to be an eternal maiden. This is where we get the Demeter we see today.

I sincerely hope Demeter comes around eventually, I dislike the fact that she’s always turned into such a villain in interpretations of this myth. If not, I get it, and I’m willing to enjoy the story for what it is.
