I really hate when people try to force other people to identify as black simply because they are Latin American or West Indian and they have some small amount of African Ancestry. I keep saying the one drop rule is VERY STUPID because a lot of people don’t know when to use their common sense to put a limit on it. There is NO REASON why someone that doesn’t look visibly black and/or doesn’t have a majority black ancestry should be considered as black. There is no such thing as “I’m black because i have one black grand or great grand parent” When the majority of your background is from a whole different race and especially if the black grand parent is also mixed to a certain degree. If we can understand that you can be black with one white grandparent then why is it soo difficult to understand that having only 1 black grandparent doesn’t automatically make you black??? If a biracial person marries a white latinx, the gene pool for the other race is larger than the black gene pool so the probability of the child inheriting more genes from the other race is higher.
