Captain America not representing America is kinda the point. Lemme explain.

He's made to represent the ideals espoused by America, equal rights, life and liberty, all that jazz, but not yet practiced. He's never really been a representative of the U.S. government because rather, he's a representative of the American rebellion spirit with a side of enlightenment, and extra more modern enlightenment. He's also an immigrant that embodies the American Dream.

Like seriously, he's so defiant that the U.S. government is constantly labeling him a problem, and they can't even get or use his exact suit because Steve owns the copyright and full discretion over who can wear it. Which I'm sorry but that shit is cosmically hilarious because basically America has no legal right to choose who is "Captain America" beyond the name, but everyone recognizes him by the suit so they're fucked. 🤣🤣

Anyway, Captain America is made to be what America should be, and he pushes in the right direction. That's what makes him such a great hero. 😺
