Momo always regarded the arrancar with distrust and pity. They knew he was a monster all along and yet still chose to follow him. Their choices made her a little envious though. She never had one.

Oh BOY, this is a whole thing. To put it plainly, Starrk doesn't handle betrayal well at ALL. He is the literal definition of an unhealthy coping mechanism. He doesn't forgive those who betrayed him, and he CERTAINLY does NOT forget. Another factor that needs to be taken into account in terms of how he handles the betrayal and its immediate aftermath is just how close the betrayer was to him. As an example, when Nelliel was attacked by Nnoitra and Szayelaporro. At that point, Starrk had considered them all apart of the same group. Certainly not friends by any strech, but to him You dont attack your own. His own friendship with Nel aside, (which truthfully only fueled the rage) it took intervention from beyond the espada to assure that Starrk didn't rip people in half.
