Irrational Ignorance

I want to drill this into everybody’s head:

Here’s what’s really perverse: prisoners, who cannot vote, still get counted in the U.S. Census. The more prisoners a county has, the more representation it gets, even though the prisoners cannot vote. See how that works? The more black and brown people they lock up, the more government resources and political representation they get. Even though those prisoners have no say and cannot vote.

Once I was feeding some ducks from a bag of birdseed I brought with me, and this woman next to me looked so confused and asked what I was feeding them

I have a memory of watching an animated show where a man see a duck, so the man walks into a subway (sandwich shop) and ask for a loaf of bread. The sandwich artist ask him what he wants on it and he said he just wants the bread but it was there policy he get something one it, so he just said lettuce. She then puts the sandwich on the counter with a head of lettuce in the middle wrapping it and I think asked him about paying. He mentions its for a duck and she responds by saying "oh ducks eat free"
