Spoils (2015)
This animated short film was something my mother showed me in the early '90s when I was probably too young to be watching stuff like this. I saw it playing on the TV at goth night this past weekend and I lost my shit, lol. What a pleasant, nostalgic surprise.

On Memorial Day I went to a normie pool party, and HONEST TO GOD they played that neenja song by the racist white woman with the beds, and I wanted to die.

So recently I guess that older post about whether New Rock boots were associated with goth/industrial culture before the 2010s started getting notes again. (Not my post, but I had commented on it, I guess, which I don't even remember doing.) I don't know why and I don't really care. But! If you need more proof that they were popular in the early '00s, here's a photo I found of me in 2004:
Sixteen-year-old me had just saved up to buy the boots and was obviously very proud. Also featured: thrifted pinstripe skirt, shitty striped tank top probably from Walmart, duct tape on my arm (?), and a free Johnson-O'Malley backpack that I wrote band names on (and used up all of my grandmother's white out in the process).
Also worth noting is that at the time I was living in an extremely small rural town, with a population of 800, so it's not like I was some city-dwelling outlier. I think I had seen some goth model on Livejournal wearing New Rocks and I decided I had to have a pair. I still have them, but I would need to gradually work up the muscles to wear them out again, lol.

This is the quiz and I did not come up with it, credit goes to @iswearbyalltheflowers on this post.
Absolutely no judgment, I’m genuinely really curious and I figured more people would answer anonymously here than on the original post.
