I’ve been getting back into The Arcana and I want to hear your theories on what would’ve happened if Nadia was the one who died? Or if she was the villain instead of Lucio. I have a lot of theories on how that potential swap would work but I rlly wanna know what you think
Pfft well, I'll just say the characters are lucky she wasn't. Honestly, you can see the difference in Lucio vs Tasya as antagonists, or Nadia's reversed ending.
Nadia's main flaws are arrogance, independence, and spite. She has something to prove and she will work to prove it her way no matter what. In contrast, Lucio's main flaws are obliviousness, gluttony, and indolance. He wants whatever he wants but he doesn't want to work hard for it.
When Lucio makes a deal with the devil, he doesn't pay up and thinks he can avoid the consequences. When Nadia makes a deal with the devil, she commits to the deal so hard she becomes the devil
I've said before that Tasya could be redeemed because she's perfectly aware of what she's doing, so if she's shown her plan won't work, she'll back down and have to accept it. Unfortunately, I don't think Nadia is the same. If someone tried to prove to Nadia her plan wouldn't work, she'd probably dig in her heels and break the world trying to make it work
In terms of goals, Lucio usually wants power for power's sake but Nadia would want to become architect of the world. She'd want to prove if everything happened the way she designs it, the world would be better
