I updated my house! I mentioned this in a previous post, but I’ve been playing through the original Final Fantasy 7 and I was feeling so inspired at seeing Aeris’ house once again. I love the dark woods, and how her kitchen was enclosed. I wanted to capture something similar to that.

I divided up the house into two different colors. A more somber and moody part for the living room and reading nook, and a more bright and lively space for the kitchen. Most of my activity in real life is done in the kitchen, and making food is my love language, so I wanted to emphasize that with this house remodel.

I finally made the decision to move Mercer’s safehouse to Empyreum. And with that move came a brand new build. The old one hadn’t been updated in two years. It was time.  So, today I introduce you to Mercer’s safehouse, a heavily warded attic overtop a rowdy dive in the Brume.
