With it being the beginning of Black History Month, it is important to highlight Black artists like designer Carly Cushnie @carlycushnie! Cushnie has been in the industry for more than 12 years, and served as creative director of her namesake brand #Cushnie, a brand she and her friend started in 2008. Although she is not actively designing under her label anymore, she is still influencing the fashion world and her clothing continues to be worn 3 years after her label’s closing. She is one of the most prominent Black female fashion designers in the industry right now, worn by @michelleobama, @beyonce, @badgalriri, and many others! Cushnie has paved the way for other Black female designers after her, and for that alone, she deserves all the praise 🎱🖤

GRAMMYS | History was made last night at the 65th Annual Grammy’s Ceremony, as @beyonce became the musician with greatest number of Grammy wins in history, setting the record with 32 wins. Even more so, @lizzobeeating won Record of the Year, being the first Black woman to do so in almost 30 years. @kimpetras made just as large of a historic mark on last night, winning Best Duo Pop Performance with @samsmith, and becoming the first transgender to win a Grammy. Other winners include @harrystyles for Album of the Year, @kendricklamar for Best Rap Album, and @adele for Best Pop Solo Performance. Last night was a historic one, and we hope inclusion and representation only get better with each year! 🖤
