I sit here playing the songs of my life. My existence seems to fade away and I slowly feel the light and loneliness of Nirvana. I feel no human contact. All i feel is the softness of my bed and the enclosure of my four walls. My thoughts bounce off each one, amplifying their meaning and surrounding me in a vortex I cant escape. Im swimming in a sea of despair while the island of prosperity dangles on the horizon. I see no future, no past, and no present. Time goes by and the songs are replayed. Distorted guitars and synth trick me into an LSD induced like state. I bury my face into the pillow and trip. I fade away, my breathing becomes shallow and my eyes close. My consciousness slips to the darkest depths of my mind, and I stay there until the morning, where the light and the reality of the world will take me out of my trance. These are the nights of a lost artist.
