I have always known that tomorrow would come. No matter how rough the night was. No matter all the things i cried over that day. No matter the hollow emptiness that never really escapes me. Tomorrow would be a new day. A day to be me one more time. Sometimes I set goals for myself and then I can’t follow through. Sometimes there’s a knock and I’m so scared of what’s on the other side I can’t answer. Sometimes I get angry and I’m not sure why. Depression for me comes in waves. It could hit me tomorrow and I could be nothing more than a heart broken mess. But the next day…. The next day things could be better. By some miracle it could be better. Its all the hope that I need.

If you feel like your struggling right now please hear me when I say its going to be alright. Maybe not right now it isn’t and that’s okay. Feel the sadness. Feel the anger. Feel the pain. But tomorrow…. Do something different. Speak kindly to yourself. Chug a glass of water (or two). Listen to some goofy stupid happy pop song instead of the screamo and rap you’ve been blaring in your ears. Break the cycle. Take 24hrs to feel all those nasty yucky emotions, but when you wake up tomorrow tell yourself to stop.
