What the fuck happens that changes these stats to such a massive degree?
1) schizophrenia hardly ever causes people to be violent so schizophrenic people aren’t more likely to be violent than anyone else
2) schizophrenic people’s autonomy is often taken away from them because of their schizophrenia. because the authorities and mental healthcare providers often automatically assume schizophrenic people to be violent, they’re more likely to immediately react to schizophrenic people's symptoms with violence, without even knowing for sure said schizophrenic person was going to be violent. all of this causes schizophrenic people to be more likely of being victims of violence and abuse. schizophrenic people also have a harder time getting out of abusive households because of the risk of their autonomy being taken away. if a schizophrenic person’s relative or partner is abusive, often the schizophrenic person has no way out of the situation, both because our disconnect from reality can result in us being easier to manipulate, and because the system is built in a way that it takes away our autonomy because of our condition.
also schizophrenic people and psychotic people in general, please do a lot of research before picking a provider for your own sake, and if they try to treat your psychosis in a way that you think is harmful then don’t hesitate to switch providers. your safety and wellbeing should be a priority over everything else.

I saw a lot of people legit say they felt like they've wasted years by being invested in and enjoying tadc after the ending. Because it...didn't live up to whatever their expectations were. And I genuinely feel like a debilitating problem in indie YouTube animation/narrative storytelling, is that Mattpat personally rotted yall's brains into complete sludge. So now EVERY TIME something comes out, instead of meeting it on its terms and enjoying it, it becomes this insane conspiracy theory, crack the clues, zoom in, stalk irl people's houses online, just absolutely lunacy to find the """"secrets"""". People treat every new YouTube show like its fucking Gravity Falls. When Gravity Falls was a years long, HIGH EFFORT, ploy made by an insane man trying to make us all feel like insane 12 year old boys losing their minds in a forest (which he succeeded, but that shit took serious work to pull off).
I feel like people are disappointed in tadc's finale because they expected a grand reveal, and a conspiracy of untold caliber, where every secret you didn't see coming APPEARS and you go ":00000 GASP this is just like fnaf!!!!"

The Amazing Digital Circus has always been a character and emotion driven show. Its set piece automatically comes with some mystique and wonder to it, because it has horror elements baked into it. But it's about the CHARACTERS. Its about exploring how this world effects a person and how it effects relationships. Tadc is mostly told through character dialogue and interaction. Its never tried to bamboozle you with a bait and switch except for episode 7 and that was intentionally obvious. People are disappointed by whatever answer to the mystery they got and I feel like that...was never the point? The Answer wasn't the goal. The goal was telling a story about these people and their humanity.
Idk. I feel like Mattpat and Cinemasins can legit be blamed for some of the weird ass behavior from people online. Its like nothing is good enough anymore unless it's bullshit lore conspiracy and appeals to nitpicky whining

Digital circus' biggest problem is that it was written to be a niche show aimed at weird analytical queers with actual media literacy and it accidentally blew tf up and hit the mainstream and a bunch of people who have never had a second thought about anything got into it
