Hello! This is Scream, creator of @rooted-clangen!
Bisonclan is a casual clangen run more in line with the likes of my bestie @branchclangen's storyline, with a focus on relationship dramas and such! There is no set storyline and I reset moons often for more interesting events and happenings.
All cats are tagged with their warrior names even as kits/apprentices, regardless of if they live that long!

In the sunny grasslands, a clan once run by the elderly Komondorstar and his deputy Magpiepelt finds itself in disarray and a prime target for two cats eager for their positions. With the help of Bisonclan warriors Seedwatcher and Specklerock, two rogues stage a coup and drive out the weaker warriors and kill the high ranks, leaving only the aging healer Flickfur unharmed. With their positions secured and Bisonclan under their guidance, Sunstar and Shadehowl claim the leadership roles and start the remaining cats on their path to glory... they hope.

BATKIT
Runner ups... @blankslaytemind & @oburninglight! These two are so SO cute, and I love the motifs used and the different shapes... I love the vibes! The fat cheeks of one and the batwing markings of the other, so cute!!
Official design... @aquafishbiedafirst! Oh my god- the snoot? It sold me. It really screamed what I was looking for and the blue tone spotting was also so charming!! This little sniffer will be our Batkit!
SAPOTEKIT
Runner ups... @galixye & @cove-clangen! This was a tough pick, I really adored the various takes on the design. The fat neck is a weakness for me, and the way the ears are done with the rim ruffles?? Ughh <33
Official design... @day2clan! This design really caught my eye for the use of the ruddy face... it was a really unique and clever take! Plus, the tail looks like a fruit slice?? This will be out little Sapotekit!
FASTKIT
Runner ups... @wiiltedartsphodel & @cursedjoywni! Fast got a lot of submissions so this was a tough one! I wasn't sure WHAT I wanted for him, and these two really stood out! I loved the lack of eyebrows and the flower theme, and the long floppy tail with the more bright white markings both were so pretty!!
Official design... @blankslaytemind! I saw this boy and it just clicked. The straight hair, the chin scruff, the color getting darker as he ages? It just really caught my heart. So, this will be our Fastkit!
ROWANKIT
Runner ups... @7space7 & @fable-rots! These two, omg, pretty girl wins!! I really enjoyed the curly fur of the first design and the simplicity of it, and the second design with the makeup and the freckles I love it!!
Official design... @poledancingwormonastring! This design just felt right for how I see Rowan- the fat neck, the white on the tail, the disgusted face... she was just so fun! This will be our Rowankit!
HORSEKIT
Runner ups... @daydreamingupandaway & @wiiltedartsphodel! Horse was, unmistakably, THE icon of the Seedlings. She had the most entries and was the hardest to narrow down. I would have picked more runner ups if I could!! But these two both really communicated the vibe and are super adorable, with the hair and the big paws <333
Official design... @ranchclan! This was a hard pick, but in the end I really liked the mohawk and the patterns (though I may have to simplify)! They are just so cute!! So this little filly will be out Horsekit!

My entries for @bisonclangen design contest! I saw em and I just HAD to do them! Uff,,, did these as quick as possible so quality is hell
First, Batkit... I had such a strong vision when I saw him, first I wanted to give him emo hair but I realized his spots look like bangs, so mini bangs he gets!
Secondly our girl horsekit, I just had to go with the horse-like mane and tail there was no other option, my personal fave out of the three,, prettiest horsegirl in the farm
Lastly Fastkit, I just cant not look at that sprite and imagine him as the usual "prettyass dude who looks normal is actually creepy ashell" cliche, so thats what he gets, bisonclans golden boy for sure!
FINALLY. FINISHED MY ENTRY FOR @bisonclangen 's DESIGN CONTEST!! everyone is under the cut because there is. a lot!! actual designs + some notes (aka yapping) below vv
first up: is Batkit!! at first i didn't really have many ideas but i knew he was gonna be a bit scruffy-looking, hopefully that came across!! i ended up not really using the bat reference photos, but included them anyway. they're fruit bats! (i also tried to make em all look a little bit like their mama, in Bat that came out as similar hairstyles!) He's the shortest of the five to me, he's just a little guy.
next up is Sapotekit!! i did have to look up what a sapote is, they look pretty cool! (and i ended up hardly including them in the design</3) she may look super short but i imagine she is actually the second tallest of her siblings! (after Fastkit, of course) The comment about her probably eating the small critters has stuck in my brain for some reason and i think she ended up being my favourite of the bunch. let my girl have her snack!!
and next we have Fastkit!! this guy i had absolutely NO ideas for at first. the personality + physical traits were just not letting me have an image in my brain. HOWEVER, i ended up making him have a very tall pointy neck fur, kind of modelled after the speedwell plant!! (yknow, cause speed and fast, and he has flowers as an accessory, yknow,) the morbid trait ended up leading into an expressionless resting face with no eyebrows - i feel like it'd give him somewhat of a disconcerting vibe no matter what he's talking about, idk i just felt like it fit him. I think he ended up looking the most different out of the siblings by far, both with colours and shapes, but i still actually really like how he turned out!!
neeeext up we've got Rowankit!! she was pretty fun to design, i don't have much to say about her though. i took picky as more of a very easily disgusted, she's got that RBF haha. the uneven cheek furs was mostly an accident when i did the first pass of the sketch, but i liked how it looked so i kept it in and made it more intentional!! in my mind she is the strongest by far of her siblings, though she wouldn't be the best at balance or fighting, she could easily beat anyone in an arm wrestling competition if they were humans. also her freckles/tick spots are generally bigger than Bat's are^^
aaand last but certainly not least: it's Horsekit!!!! I'm gonna be honest, I really was not too sure on where to start with her, but we started our lessons on horse handling and breeds right when the design contest was first posted so i kinda had to at least try my hand at her. she's got fluffy feet feathers like a Clydesdale, and emo bangs that were meant to resemble a forelock of a mane(plus a mullet to represent the actual mane too). i saw that "apologetic" trait and instantly beamed upon her the "anxiously apologising for every single thing" trait because of course. idk i like her a lot!!
anyways that's basically it!! thanks so much for reading this whole thing + thanks so much to Scream for hosting the contest in the first place!! all the entries i've seen so far are sooo good it's not even funny. so many great designs. definitely go check out the comic if you haven't already!! (as well as rooted-clangen which is ALSO amazing of course.) bye byee!!

I wanted to hop in because I love drawing kitties!!! I found this to be a very fun art challenge for myself! Also y’all should check this comic out it is really good :)
After this just ranting about my intentions and such behind each design!
Batkit- I wanted him to have Halloween vibes! Mostly because of the name tbh. I love Halloween so I went a little silly with him. His pose was originally similar to Horsekit but I changed him to make him his own little stinker. I think he likes bugs and if he knew what vampires were he would pretend to be one as an apprentice! He’s a silly little guy ❤️
Sapotekit- Originally I feel like her design was a little bland (her hair was like the same as Fastkit) but I decided to lean into the design part of her traits and I made her a little artist!! She seems so cool to me and I really like the colors. I color picked directly from the sprites and out of all of them I liked her colors the most!!!
Rowankit- Not much thoughts on her admittedly. I think she probably hold some strong opinions that she’s quite outspoken about. I also think she’s probably pretty blunt. She can be a bit nitpicky but it comes from a place of love. She seems a bit tough on the outside but soft on the inside to me. I also think she is averse to specific pieces of prey and textures and she’s very stubborn about it (same girl) I tried to make her design a bit more neat due to her picky trait. As for the small critters, well I think I subconsciously drew her kind of like a mouse, aside from that I think she likes songbirds. She seems like she might get stressed easily and the singing helps her calm down
Fastkit- This guy threw me for a loop! He’s so different looking from his siblings. Mentally I based him off of how I envision Hamlet in my mind. A melodramatic morbid pretty boy. I think he likes bones, I also imagine him to be very poetic. His small critter is crows because why not. Also side note I have like 8 pictures of this guy on my phone because I realized I missed something and I had to fix it or I saved it wrong like a doofus.
Horsekit- I ADORE horses and ponies so I had a LOT of fun with this design!!! Honestly I based her more off ponies than horses but I think that’s okay. In my defense there are some shorter horse breeds. Her hair alone inspired a redesign of all her siblings to give them cooler hair! She was the one I colored first, and during that phase I redid her design and pose and that made me realize I could be doing more with my poses and designs so I reworked all her siblings. I know the poses probably don’t matter as much but I also used this as an opportunity to work on myself tee hee. I drew her with butterflies because I saw a baby pony chase dragonflies and butterflies once (honestly she kind of is my fave, she reminds me of distant childhood memories)(also sorry I didn’t color the eyes- I do like to think they’re visible when she gets startled)
My entries for the bisonclangen design! the green-eye lings(minus horse)! these kitties are so cute I just had to draw them too, and what fun it was! there's also some little extra notes under each one for funsies!
Rowan
I probably had the most fun making her! butterflies love to hang around her.
Fast
A big floof. I love making the male characters fem. I think bugs would like to hang around the flowers on his pelt, specifically bee's.
Sapote
I don't have a lot of notes about her, she was fun to design, I didn't stick completely to the sprite design so hope that's okay!
Horse
Such a unique sprite, absolutely love her! She has very long fur, and birds love to stick around her (and steal bits of fluffy fur for their nests) much like with actual horses.
Bat
Lots of bat references! Has alot of unkept fur, and little critter like mouses love to hide around in his tail fur.
