What I don't understand is if the monologues are how the book is written in general, why do we never get an inkling of Alice's revenge plan before, from the start it seems this is actually about the job and passing but in truth she wants to torture grimes and extrt control over the relationship.

The life and death and meaning themes were good, not presented as a grand thing like usually media does, but still potent and deep enough that you could write essays on it.

Do not like how heavily Greek mythology was used when canonically all non abramhic belief systems are taken as fact and overlapping, which is why I love how alive chooses Lord Yama at the end

Wish hell was more interesting, I do not understand where the lower courts and their themes were derived from, cruelty violence and tyranny are disparate enough to warrant their own courts? And what's dis, like is it the 8th court or above it, wish they explored the other courts as much as pride and desire as a setting as well as a philosophy, like I genuinely did not understand why greed was a tropical war zone?

Elspeth was an amazing character, wish we had more insight into Gradus.

NEEDED MORE DEITIES, like the interaction with the furies did not make sense to me. There genuinely needed to be more demons and shit, every court should have had a boss interaction of some sort.

Why did Magnolia committ maternal suicide? Like I get it but I feel like that ending needed a bit more.

Because how many stories are there of heretics changing the society for the better, for a hero arriving at city walls to liberate you, of a King who received divine revelation and stopped his erring ways and yet your life stays shit, your men beat/rape you, your children have no security and you are an extension of the man they bound you to. How many women rejected a prophet because he was a man and men lie. How many women will be in hell for not trusting a man that he held their salvation. Another fad for the men that envelopes you because who are you without him, no one, nothing.

And so you come back , pitch your tent again, and nothing changes, he's still violent and your children are still at his mercy, you still do all your labour and he still scowls at his infant daughter but his new faith doesn't let him bury her, which fills you with dread because atleast in death your daughter can find peace, now she has to suffer your fate.

Nothing changes so neither do you, he tells you to prostrate 5 times a day so you do, but you die never believing, because it's just something a man told you to do, and you never had a choice.

And the women who may have met the Prophet or the Sahaba, who listened to the message and the promises of salvation and equality, and did not trust them because you can't trust men, and Atleast the paganism of your mother is comfortable and familiar if still cruel, and maybe false hope is more cruel, so you rebuke the message and die disbelieving because again a passionate speech from a man is not to be believed, that's not how the world you lived in works.

It was so fucking stressful to watch the begining of this ep just PRAYING I don't seen an israeli or something and that flyer with the blue star of David did not help.

You know what's also stressful, living through a fucking genocide. And if the producers of this show are found to have a 'stance' differing to that we will have a problem.
