Don’t worry, guys. Carl is clearly a brachiosaurus, which lived during the Jurassic period. (And before anyone says our lil’ boy Steve is a velociraptor and therefore puts our comic in the late cretaceous, aka the time of the comet–that lil guy could easily be a compsognathus or a caudipteryx, both Jurassic-era species of small theropod dinosaurs. So the light getting bigger every night is going to pass by harmlessly, and Steve and Carl can go on enjoying the stars together until they die of old age, since Carl has very few natural predators at his size and I bet he’ll protect Steve, if he needs it (though small, fast and carnivorous as Steve is, he probably won’t).

So it’s all good!!

people just hate children. it's a sorry state of affairs. they hate children being starved and bombed overseas. they hate children laughing and playing in the park. they hate their own kids, whom they popped out because social norms told them it was an obligate milestone for their own enrichment and not the creation of another human being whose life then takes priority over theirs. they don't want to be around children, they don't want to raise them, they are always foisting them onto someone else and no one wants to take them. they hate children even though we were all children once and most of us probably know, in some way or another, how withering it felt to be a hated child, whether it was some stranger on a bus telling us to shut up in an isolated incident or our parents resenting the fact that we existed. nothing will get better if we don't stop hating children and start seeing every child anywhere as a vulnerable citizen we ought to look out for. our society is only as healthy as the poorest, loneliest child in it.

I've lived in this area my entire life. I'm pretty familiar with what stores/companies are around here. And even if I wasn't, I know how to look them up.

Saying every day to someone who did not ask for your help or opinion "did you apply to <extremely well known chain>? What about <another extremely well known chain>?" is not helping at all. And literally you reading this can probably fill in the blank for any well known chain and I've almost definitely applied. The only places I've avoided on purpose are gas stations/liquor stores because I don't live in a good area and I don't want to be afraid for my life at work or worse, lose my life. And malwart. Because it's malwart. I've never heard a single good thing about working there from anyone I've ever known or read online. Yeah I need money, but it's not worth my life.
