Smoke’s primary love language in my opinion is Acts Of Service. Smoke loves doing for his woman. He loves fixing things, he handles problems before they reach you, he makes sure your car has gas, he walks on the outside of the sidewalk, he notices you’re tired before you say it. If somebody threatens you, they suddenly become his problem. He’s not naturally verbose but a woman who only listens to what Smoke says might think he’s reserved and a woman who watches what Smoke does would realize he’s screaming “I love you.”

I feel like his second love language would be Physical Touch. A hand on your lower back. Pulling you against his side while he’s talking. Kissing your forehead before work. Sleeping with one arm around you. It’s like reassurance for him. A simple “come here.” From him means that he wants to hold you against him and breathe you in.

Stack’s primary love language is Quality Time. Stack falls in love through attention. He wants conversation, inside jokes, sitting in the porch and talk until the sun goes down, lay in bed and cuddle while having pillow talk, he wants to teach you stuff, show you things, introduce you to music, cities, etc. the reason Stack loves woman so much is because he’s fascinated by them. He wants access to women’s minds, what makes them tick. He doesn’t just want a body in his bed, he wants somebody who can keep his attention, his secondary love language is Words of Affirmation.

Stack is naturally expressive. He’s a flirt, a charmer, a storyteller (even if ridiculous), he’ll give you nicknames, compliment you just to see you blush, tease you, praise you. Even when he’s serious he tends to use words as a bridge to intimacy. Stack would say “tell me what’s on your mind.” And “Stay with me.”

Now Erik’s primary love language is Physical Touch. And it’s mainly because he’s touch-starved. Erik spent most of his life surviving, fighting, deploying, losing people, being alone, being in rooms with people he despised because it was part of the plan. All of that is exhausting. And yes, Erik is a sexual man but not every touch he craves is sexual. Play in his locs, put your hand on his chest, reach for him first, hold him while he’s quiet, rest your head on his shoulder.

His secondary love language is Acts of Service. Smoke to me is more domestic than Erik from what we know so in this case Erik’s is more protective? Like yes Smoke’s can be that way too but this is Erik’s approach first before it even becomes domestic. Erik is checking your locks, walking you to your car, memorizing your schedule, making sure you ate, making sure you got home, watching everything so you don’t have to. He’s constantly scanning for threats and if he loves you, you become part of what he’s protecting. He’ll say things like “text me when you get there.” Or “lemme see you.”

Seeing you safe settles something inside him because he couldn’t control what happened in his past as well.

And honestly, Smoke, Stack, and Erik share some similarities in a way so they could most definitely share the same love languages.

Smoke is the shield, Erik is the security system. They both are protective men, but Smoke tends to react to danger with overwhelming force. Whereas Erik tends to identify danger early and control the situation before it reaches you. That’s why a woman with Smoke often feels taken care of and a woman with Erik often feels watched over.
