this much is true

if you're have trouble taking care of your animals, be it remembering or initiation of tasks or disability or getting overwhelmed, etc, please dont be afraid to reach out to someone for help. friend, family member, your doctor or therapist, ask someone near you to help remind you to care for your animals, or help you write a checklist of things you need to do daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and have then help you stick to it, remind you multiple times a day, physcially or verbally help you initiate and complete these tasks. you could ask if they could take on certain tasks themselves, or if they know anyone who could. you could even ask a trusted neighbor to walk your dog or whatever. and wrt to therapy & doctors, you can talk to them about what is holding you back, write a list of obstacles that take priority for you. and you can also talk to friends or therapists or anyone u trust how you feel about these issues, and how it effects you and your pets. its much less shameful to ask for help, or give away your animal, than to keep them in subpar conditions.

people love you for what you can offer them and no more. people love what you create if it brings them joy, but they have no interest in the thought behind the creation, the genesis behind the making. people love what you can do, they love the rewards they can steal from your labor. they admired the picture but shunned the photographer, they lauded the painting and buried the artist alive. they wanted yours, but not you.

who you are is someone that can only be born to yourself. we must be a sentinel over the scepter of our own self esteem and character, it befits no one's hands but your own.
