Bronze Age encounter (Cover art by "Grabuge," Graal magazine 18, July-August 1989). This issue included scenarios and new material for RuneQuest, AD&D, Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Marvel Super Heroes, Animonde, and Cry Havoc: Siege, plus a mini board game of Spartacus' slave rebellion across Italy.
Hurloon Minotaur
The minotaurs of the Hurloon Mountains are known for their love of battle. They are also known for their hymns to the dead, sung for friend and foe alike. These hymns can last for days, filling the mountain valleys with their low, haunting sounds.

The Minotaur in his Labyrinth, Roman mosaic, 3rd century AD, Conímbriga, Portugal
The AD&D 2e Monstrous Manual (TSR, 1993) was a single hardcover book combining all the monsters from Monstrous Compendium Volumes One and Two plus some from later MC supplements, revised and updated. It was considered the third of three core books for 2e, along with the PHB and DMG, reestablishing the 3-volume core structure of 1e that was repeated in later editions. Jeff Easley provided the cover art featuring a red dragon, minotaur, lich, thri-kreen, and beholder-kin.
