Escaping | Lucissa
Narcissa could tell that she was rescuing Lucius from a dull conversation and smiled to herself, happy to be able to do so for him as he led the way out of the main hall. The corners of her lips curved upwards in that special, soft smile that she reserved only for him. Her arms moved up to circle his neck, taking great pleasure in the soft kiss from the older boy.Â
"Anytime, love," she said. "It’s been going well, but it’s even better now. I’ve been wanting to steal you away all evening," she admitted sheepishly. It was true that she’d seen James at the ball, which had been surprising at first, but then just… awkward. She was a little thankful that he didn’t go out of his way to talk to her, but as stated before, the blonde was more preoccupied with Lucius.Â
Lucius' smile only broadened at her admission that she'd been craving some time just for the two of them as well. It had been on his mind all night long, but he hadn't found it appropriate to ditch their guests and make a run for it, even if tonight was meant to be for them. Still, with most of the celebrations behind their backs, the two could afford some downtime. It would be a while until anyone noticed their absence, most likely, and even then, it was well within their rights as an engaged couple to enjoy each other's company.
They would do well not to take too long, of course, lest they should rouse any suspicions, but Lucius imagined they had something like fifteen minutes before a house elf was sent looking. He'd noticed Narcissa's discomfort at James' presence, but she didn't seemed incline to breach the subject, and so he said nothing of it. Instead, he pressed his lips to hers again, a touch more insistently this time, his hands coming to rest on the small of her back and drawing her in slightly possessively.
"I wish you could stay over tonight," he whispered against her lips in between kisses. The holidays seemed so much longer when he couldn't even see her properly... At least Hogwarts was good to them in that way.
