The Misdreavus stared Guzma with curiosity, all the while letting out a low chirping and its signature grin formed on her face.

What an intriguing figure!

“Well yes- After all, if they hosted it everyday the insects population of the park would be almost non-existant!…Our bug-expert gym-leader wouldn’t like that at all…”

Morty’s voice trailed off as he took on a thoughtful position, hand rests over his chin.

“There is a manner in here where you can rent a room…Hopefully it won’t be out of rooms, Ecruteak gets extremely busy around this time of the year with all the festivals and-”

He refused to let out the word ‘Halloween’, he didn’t need to get bitter at that moment, not in front of them.

“I believe that your other option would be either to try your luck at Violet or Goldenrod cities- I believe you will have a better chance at the second one..I just warn you that the hotels are quite expensive there…”

“If you’d like I can show you where the manner is…Ah- what is your name?”

                        Adrian looked to the Ariados a bit concerned about it when it has suddenly flew from the tree. Kneeling down he held his hand out to the other when it crawled closer to him. “Are you alright there Ariados? That looked like a nasty fall, I hope you aren’t hurt.” He kept his voice calm and relaxed as he spoke to the pokemon.

His own Aegislash floating beside him on high alert at the other pokemon but did not make a single move without his trainer’s command. It was then Adrian looked up hearing the voice call out for an Ariados before looking back down to the spider. “Is that your trainer calling for you? You must hurry home but here. Before you leave, you can have one of these.”

Holding his hand out once again he had a green patterned pokebean for it to have. It was at least he could do to help them feel better after that kind of fall. Adrian had so many he didn’t mind sharing with any pokemon he could.

Ariados took the bean with its pincers and chewed it up; not the type to turn down offered food even though it preferred hunting. After it ate it, the bug moved forward to the stranger, trying to climb on him. The shouts for the Pokemon drew closer and closer, until the trainer came out of the brush, searching for him. “Ariados! Where the hell-?” Guzma stopped and paused, looking at the scene curiously. Ariados was not one to warm up to other people so quickly; it was a rare sight. 

The gym-leader promptly turned around to face the one that had just addressed to him.

His Misdreavus proceeded to do the same thing, as she floated by her master’s side shoulders-level.

The first thing that caught Morty’s attention was the way the unknown figure was dressed, he had never seen anyone around Johto to wear anything like that before. They stood out like a sore thumb, regardless the clairvoyant kept his thoughts to himself in the back of his mind.

There is his usual smile on his face, before he started to talk.

“Bugs…Oh you must be refferring to the National park…It isn’t very far from here, you just have to head south!”

He proceeded to point with a hand at the designated direction.

“However…If you were looking for the bug-catching contest, then you may be out of luck- if I am not mistaken today isn’t one of the days that event happens…”

“ Touche. “ He seldom used the trinket, seeing as there was very little reason to disrupt the disruptors. He follows the boss, slowly lagging behind to gaze at the worn down buildings. When was the last time he came here…? 

“ So… Why complain about the cats when everything else is a mess? “ 

He kicked a can out of his way and continued on, passed the tagged buildings and staring grunts. The rain came down without mercy, but none of them seemed to mind since they were so used to it. “There’s a difference between our destruction and something else’s.”
