WHERE : ... ⸻ downworlder's bar . WITH : open to anyone.

The bar is hundreds of conversations told in loud voices , all of them competing with the music that dominates the atmosphere . The crowd is a mixture of old and young , those that were far older than they looked for the most part . Alessa , who had the sight , winds her way through the warm bodies to order a drink and take her seat . it wasn't rare to see mundanes in that bar . albeit some that wander in are never seen again once they mix with the wrong crowd .

PEOPLE WERE SO FUCKING NOISY IT WASN'T FUNNY. The first real perk of finally having a pack was that werewolves knew that. Their ears could be sensitive to noise, finding it hard to focus untrained senses. Sure, he had worked on it but it was easier to focus on specifics now like the woman who took the free seat beside him. "I don't know about you but it's hilarious to me," Sam admitted, eyes full of a mischievous glint. "They've," his head nodded toward the tatted group, "always have a stick up their asses and now they're making it everyone's problem."

“ are you looking for something ? ” he’d not been to rome in years, and only once prior to this, but still, jordan knew the city enough. the wolf wasn’t helpful by nature, but he was curious. it told a lot about someone how they reacted to an offer of help. besides, he could practically smell the city crawling with down worlders. it made jordan more prone to speaking to strangers purely out of interest. he hated socializing otherwise.

WHO'D THINK A WEREWOLF LIKE HIM COULD THRIVE IN A PLACE LIKE THIS? Certainly not Sam the more or less former thief. It did help that the stray finally found a pack he could exist with. Normally he wouldn't be out in the city like this much less alone but maybe he strived in chaos; enjoying the fact that shadowhunters were losing their minds looking for the mortal instruments and Sam couldn't care less. "If you can point me in the direction of a good drink, sure, other wise no."
