Although I know better to comment on things like those, I am like a moth to a flame regarding this particular situation.
Whether or not the character you are referring to is actually the Minki that MY character interacted with I am unsure; however, I do know very well that there was a person who took up impersonating those muses. They were often mistaken (to their delight, I’m sure) for the same person that played Lee Minki at DSMP.
In my personal opinion, because all of those things happened ages ago, they are essentially irrelevant. I do honor that this was a venting post made on a blog specifically for venting purposes. You are not out of line in that respect, Anonymous.
What I have a problem with is this: You are essentially suggesting that people avoid my character because you have a problem with me. We are all on here networking and trying to find people who we click with, writing-wise. We all want to tell a story with someone– that’s one of the things about roleplaying that I think is truly beautiful. It opens up the possibility of different takes on the same story, of having another cognitive being assist you with creating something.
But I should be outcasted from the rest– also, the people I write with– because I am ‘toxic.’ And let me tell you, Anon, unless you were directly involved with the circle of people that ran DSMP, you have no idea what toxic is.
I am on this site doing the same goddamn thing as the rest of you. I am writing my character’s story amongst thousands of other stories. This is my hobby. Unless I speak to someone and outside of my character, this should be little to no reflection on my personality.
I’d also like to remark that I am deeply, deeply apologetic to Milo’s creator. It is not fair that they are being stereotyped because of something that was MY business. Something that happened in MY past. Why drag their name through the mud when they never be even knew either of the potential Minkis in question–? Our characters met after I made the decision to close my directory. Why are those names even being used in the same sentence? There’s no relation.
I am making the decision to refrain from any more commentary on this or anything that follows. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to approach me. Please leave my characters and my friends’ characters out of the discussion.
